Heroin is unlikely to induce psychosis, the only thing that is linked with that is cannabis and possibly some hallucinogenic drugs, but not heroin or opiates for that matter.

Someone with underlying mental health problems (ie. not apparent at the time) can be complicated by some drugs, like cannabis as already mentioned.

No. No history of any mental illness in the family. Heroin does not have any negative psychological effects on SWIM. Even reported negative mental effects dont happen to SWIM. On the contrary, everyone loves him when he's on H, as he is much more friendly, caring, and empathetic towards others. He is also capable of a lot more love towards his special someone.

In addition to this, just one dose of Heroin leaves SWIM glowing and happy for days, able to appreciate the true beauty of the world. Obviously self medicating with something as dangerous and addictive as Heroin is stupid, but as far as SWIM is concerned it is a fantastic antidepressant at just one dose every 3 days.

Why would it matter if anyone had a history of mental illness in their family?
As far as one knows there have been no reported cases of mental illness directly caused by opiates other than the change in thought process one has while addicted.
If there are any medical reports of mental illness caused by opiates one would love to read them although one is not going to go looking for them himself.
One has a friend, whom becomes "agitated" after a taste rather than any anti-depressant effect. It is almost immediate, he is fine, he has his taste, he is then arguing with his girlfriend. You could almost set your clock to it.

Other than most of the above information one doubts SWIyou are going to get much of an answer to this in the forum. People do not want to talk about their families medical history here, SWIwe have come here to share technical and expirential knowledge of certain drug types depending on the person.
