Man,
you need to read and read and read and read. The net is screaming with accounts of stoners out of weed going "hey man, this will get us high" ![]() Google and read. It's been discussed to death. |

Recreational no. Belladonna will definitely alter your mind though. It's dangerous stuff too it contains some of the same alkaloids as Datura stramonium.

"some of the same..." Ahem - quite the same. But I'm tired of teaching Alkaloid Chemistry. I sum up the dangers quite well in my post here:

Re: Are these nightshades of any recreational value??
It seems like some people are sooo desperate for a high that the second they hear something will "fuck them up"they just go into it without a second thought. Why do people think this way?The result of this is so many problems and not just the obvious of people hurting themselves.Societies whole perception of drugs and people who use them is warped by people that think this way.

Re: Are these nightshades of any recreational value??
You are giving credit where none belongs to a "society." There is no true "society" in what is called the United States. It is a mass of pissed-off people living under laws they had no hand in making - and feeling helpless to make any difference in the matter whatsoever. If, in fact, the notion even crosses their minds.
Now why do young people want to "get fucked-up?" In fact, I've been having this very discussion with a young political-activist where I live. We were just discussing attitudes and lack of culture. Today he wants to know if I've ever heard of Abbie Hoffman. You might say - this will be fun! Don't fuck with Datura! |

You know I think I am "giving too much credit"here. The key word I think is education and one of the reasons those that seek to oppress succeed is lack of education."Keeping them stupid"is part of their recipe of success.
