Overdosing on MDMA, an experience to share and learn from

Swim called M- If you can find time to read this

M was a fairly frequent user of ecstasy and have found the greater good of the drug. However they soon began to abuse the drug when they psychologically became addicted to the happiness it gave them, afer feeling low selfesteem and low confidence. It wasn't until after a bad experience that they realised that they were no longer seeking for the happiness but just seeking a night of complete obliteration. (maybe due to tolerance)
A few weeks ago, they completely over did the whole experience.

Considering the fact that they were a regular user of mdma / ecstacy pills and the odd occasion of ketamine, M's tolerance levels built up as they practically have like no seratonin left in their brain. It was the worst night of their life and they did so many things that were completely out of character.
M and her friends decided to go for a night out in whilst on their way there, M skidded quite badly on a tight corner which really shook her up. M was also
discussing how people drive dangerously just moments before it happened and was taking about a friend who died without a cause. When they got to there for a night out, they bought a gram of mdma to share between themselves and her boyfriend. M came up alot after a bit and time flew and it was time to go home. They sat in M's car for about 45 minutes before they decided to drive home. M shouldn't have driven home at all, even though m wasn't that bad. m still feels the guilt. M went to a friends house and finished her mdma snorting some of it too. M then bought another half gram to share between 3 of them, and was feeling fine.

M's friends went back to M's house at 8am and smoked about 5-6 spliffs. M and her friends were still up by 1pm and I was feeling like all effects had worn
off. M realised that she was beginning to spin out a bit and when she stood up, things would go dizzy and had to sit back down. It was only when her
boyfriend was holding onto my arms that she was coming back to reality, then it felt like she'd lost conciousness for a few seconds which felt like minutes and her boyfriend was trying to talk sense into her. He put her to bed and the 'party' ended. M tried to go bathroom a few times but lost her vision again, she remembers finding herself sitting in on the bathroom floor, or lying down on her bedroom floor just spinning out, and the majority of the time she was trying to get her vision back so she would stare at nothing. M's boyfriend took her back to bed and as she was trying to get in and get her balance she felt like she was close to a fit and all 'wobbly'. She couldn't look him in the eye because his face was burning yellow in her eyes and it all looked highly saturated and scary and when her boyfriend was staring
at her in bed, completely petrified by the state that she was in, she just stared at him because she forgot who he was. M was there for minutes trying to remember who she was, where she was and what her life consisted of. M thought that she was looking at myself through a mirror and couldn't comprehend anything around her. She tried to go to the bathroom a few times and managed to fall over and black out again. Everytime she tried to get up her eyes were hazy and really sensitive to light. She couldn't focus on things and her livingroom was a big bright blur and for a day or two after she was dizzy and having black spells. It took her about 4 days to recover and now she has realised that you have to be careful before you let yourself go off the rails... She was suffering from a warm fuzzy headaches near the back. She also got extremely paranoid and it didnt really go away for a week, she even unplugged her bath when she was in it because she was petrified of something being in the water. She just kept trying to renact horror scenes like monsters in cupboards and stuff like that. She cried the other day because she thought she was going to get paranoid shizoprenia or something... M got away lucky this time and has really learnt her lesson.

M has posted this because she is now feeling 100% better other than a few memory lapses, she is now on a break and refuses to take anything for at least 6 weeks. M would like to know if other people have ever experienced anything quite so traumatic before? She believes that it could be due to the weed because she can never bare more than a few tokes when completely normal. M took about a gram that night and has never done more than a quarter gram in a night before. M hopes that others can learn from her experience and be careful with their doses.

M also has a question: Why the dizzy black outs? She has also experienced this smoking weed on its own, years before she even tried mdma.

Re: Overdosing on MDMA, an experience to share and learn from

Even taking into consideration purity variances from one sample to another, 1g of MDMA in a night is a lot...

It took SWIM a while to get his head around this, but when on a chemical such MDMA, it is important to enjoy the feelings that the drug does choose to give you, not obsess about the ones it chooses to withhold for this experience, simply because the range of experiences on offer from the drug are so variable and dependant on so many factors, that each experience will offer different insights and sensations than the last. SWIMs first few times on MDMA were spent "chasing the rush" so to speak, and in doing so, SWIM forgot to slow down and enjoy the scenery, and would instead dive headlong into a 2-day comedown and week-long period of increased anxiety/depression.

SWIM finds that with MDMA it is better to keep redosing with small amounts rather than swallowing hundreds of mgs at once, and potentially overdoing it (as it sounds like you did here)

SWIM knows people that do up to 2-2.5 grams of MDMA in a night... and SWIM can definately tell the differences in their personality's prior to heavy MDMA use.

MDMA is really something that should be used 3-4 times a year... after each MDMA use, its wise to wait 2-3 months before using again.
