Re: tincture VS tea
Price discussion is never allowed on Drugs-Forum outside of the Sources forum.
As for basic thoughts on your friends choice: The potency of a tincture can only be read on a label, while the basic characteristics of a leaf may show indications of potency and elicit more regulated dosing, as well as potentiate a visceral understanding of the nature of the entheogen through a more explicit stimulation of the peripheral senses (smell, taste, touch...etc.). Conversely, the tincture, if enjoyed and wanted for future experiences, could be easily replicated with an equipotent liquid from the same source, something that may not be as reliable with leaf, as the potency variance in raw leaf from single distributors has been noted as significant. Many dislike the taste of kratom, and in this case, the tincture, with a dose of 2ml, seems the obvious option. In terms of sheer potency, the distributor claim of 2ml=10g(15x) leaf would imply that a single dose of 2ml would be greater than the equivalent of the entire 100g raw leaf package. The entire tincture would have dozens the amount of leaf packed into it as the 100g package, assuming the distributor is reputable. Hope these ideas added some answers, or brought on more questions. |

Re: tincture VS tea
SWIM will remember not to post prices next time, but since a money sign wasnt used lets just think of it as monopoly money
and yes, the manufacture site says that it took more than 150g of kratom to produce the tincture. so with SWIYs backing up of that SWIM will check out that tincture. |

Re: tincture VS tea
If 2ml is equal to 10 grams of 15x extract (or 150g raw material), then, assuming the tincture is 30ml, it should have taken 2,250g of leaves to produce. This sounds like a bit of an exaggeration to me, unless the tincture was somehow impossibly cheap to produce and the leaves are marked up.
