Sleeping

SWIM is not sure if this would be the right forum? But swim does OC alot, not too bad, but about 40-80mg every other day or so. Swim does feel slight withdrawal, diarehha, wierd feeling in legs, temperature spikes, chills, slightly depressed, extreme cravings, trouble sleeping etc. But Sometimes when swim tries to lay down and go to sleep, as soon as swim dozes he instantly awakens and freaks out as if his heart feels like it skipped a beat or was about to stop and swim hasto literally catch swims breathe and sit up and then calm hisself down. What is happening to swim? Is swim overdosing? Or just paranoid? Is this something swim should be worried about?

SWIM feels like he is pretty tollerent to 40 mg, and just catches a prettygood buzz when doing40mg, but has never done more than 40 mg at once or within 4 hours of a previous 40mg dosage. These things only happen at night when trying to sleep.

This is just really scaring swim because swim just doesn't want to lay down one day and never wake up. It does it sometimes even when swim done OC way early in the morning like 12 hours previously. It only happens to swim when swim is intoxicated or has recently intoxicated as previously mentioned.

Thanks for any help, this is really freaking me out!

I know exactely whats happening to you. You are actually choking (inhaling) your own saliva, and you wake up fighting to breathe (and you feel like you are fighting off a heart attack/fighting to live). It took a long time for me to figure this out as well. And it is more likely to happen with mild opioid withdrawal (increased secretions). On those nights where you expect this to happen, take a good dose of a drying anti-histamine. And(or) make sure you do NOT fall asleep on your back (which I bet you were doing, right?) Best of luck, and please post back so I can know weather or not what I said was of any use to you in sorting this out. I know, its horrible. Once I lost some weight, this went away, as well as the acid reflux, and a whole host of malidies. I attribute my weight loss made possible with the use of tramadol.

Yes swim always try to sleep on back... Swim will see if something else helps and if a antihistamine works. This definately sounds possible. Swim will post back in a few and see if either help. Thanks for the help!
