Phenethylamine + MAOI

Phenethylamine is the main compound of a subclass of aromatic compounds that is naturally produced in the brain to produce trust and happiness - often related to love (it is the chemical responsible for getting 'butterflies'.) Several of the compounds in its subclass, including Mescaline, -Amphetamine, MDA, MDMA, and the 2C-(x) class.

Normally, one can not take Phenethylamine orally, because just as DMT is, Phenethylamine would be metabolized before any significant amount reached the brain. In fact, Phenethylamine is found in chocolate (some believe that people eat chocolate to attempt to regain lost love).

However, if one were to take an MAOI that prevented the breakdown of Phenethylamine, then say, ate a significant amount of chocolate...would they suddenly trust more?
