Who is the best Super Tuesday candidate for drugs issues?
With Super Tuesday coming up next week, who do the DF members think is the best (and maybe the worst) candidate on drugs issues?
Is it Obama, or has the recent controversy here dropped him down in the rankings? http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46497 Or is it still that old favourite "None of the above"? |

Defiantly Ron Paul since he wants to end the war on drugs. Hes probably won't win becuase hes not that popular but SWIM's state, Maine, loves him.

Mike Gravel wants marijuana sold next to the alcohol in liquor stores, doesn't sound like a bad idea to me.

Re: Who is the best Super Tuesday candidate for drugs issues?
I know RP will probably not win, but as he says, his message is what counts. I may not agree with everything that he says but I sure do believe in freedom. Living in the USA is... i guess... ok but how RP made me realise that my freedoms are in jepordy just made me crazy for the guys message. The way things are going now, with us stupid americans attempting to take over the world just doesn't fly with me.
The way Americans views are seem to be the same way when we came here in the first place.-- We came here, killed a bunch of indians for "our" land, and we still try to do the same today. Which reminds me, why do we celebrate thanksgiving if we were the ones to kill the native americans. Back to the subject- Ron Paul is the only guy who will actually do anything about our freedom for doing whatever we want with our own, natural, HUMAN bodies. I don't want to be a slave for these corperate, rich, powerful men. I don't want to work for anyone but myself. Basically I want to live for myself. That is why I am going to vote RP. Never say never, He may win. But it is pretty doubtful

Obviously Ron Paul has shown he has support for drugs, namely marijuana, reform policies but can he get enough votes?
At this stage of the primaries all the candidates are just trying to secure the presidential ticket from their respective parties so they aint REALLY going in depth with what their policies will be but i think once we have a dem and rep candidate secured for the presidential race ,THEN we will start to see the true political agendas of the pres candidates.I think Obama will increase the amount of medical states and maybe even declassify MJ like tony blair had done in the UK.. afterall he is promising to CHANGE american politics! Clinton will just offer us more of what Bill gave us in the 90's..as for the reps...JohnMcCaine seems to me to be as liberal as a republican can get so you never know,he might even consider some sort of MJ rforms...but like i suspect,we wont see the TRUE agendas and policies of the candidates till the real presidential race begins IMHO.Cheers |
