Two questions about Tussinex dosage.

SWIM just got a 100ml bottle. Seems like it has 10mg of hydrocodone in every teaspoon.

SWIM is an ex-junkie who had quite a large H habit many years ago but has not had any opiates since the last dental visit several months ago.

What's a good dosage? I'm thinkin' 3 tsp. should get the warm swimmies flowing.

Also, is the time released effect something to consider when re-dosing? So what's the desired interval to wait?

Ahhh the good memories of Tussinex.Swim remembers back in the early days of his opiate career his doctor gave him a bottle of this.He stupidly walked around a local park where they used to have lame country bands playing here during the summer.Let us say it was a nice walk through the park despite the lame country music.Swim really hasn't bothered with it since and has no clue what it would do for someone with a serious,longtime opiate habit.

Tussionex contains 2.5 mgs of hydrocodone in each 5mL teaspoon.

A good starting dosage, in SWIM's opinion, would be 4 teaspoons (10 mgs of hydrocodone). Just be careful, Tussionex also contains chlorpheniramine maleate, which can be dangerous in high dosages.

I'd like for you to cite your source because I find it hard to believe someone who doesn't use proper grammar. Also, SWIM was informed by his doctor that Tussionex contains 2.5 mgs of hydrocodone per teaspoon.

tussionex contains 10 mg's hydrocodone per a 5 ml teaspoon but hycodan contains 5 mg's of hydrocodone per 5ml teaspoon, i dont think its time realesed though. The Hycodan that is. Source google or RXList.com to be more exact.
