Panic Attack

A friend of mine had a panic attack on his second use of ecstasy. The second time was about 5 weeks after the first use. The first one went perfectly well. The second time, he took two pills and had a bit of a panic attack and got really scared and smoked LOTS of cigarettes. what might have caused that? would it be bad for him to try it again (this time from a legit source, last time he got it from a random dealer which indeed was stupid). could the panic attack have come from an undesired substance in the ecstasy? what could it have been?

Most likely your friend had adulterated pills.

All these Swimmers out there, they need to be so careful thesedays, especially those new to the scene. Swim cannot stress enough how important it is to get Swiy pills from a trusted dealer. Swiy should look into buying a testing kit. Swim doesn't need to explain how dangerous it can be buying pills from a stranger Swiy'll never see again; your Swim got the answer the hard way, not the hardest way though, your Swim could have experienced much worse.

Swim also learnt from his mistakes by dropping a pill that didn't taste of anything, and having another one thirty minutes later because "nothing was happening" - and he had the worst trip ever (hugging the toilet in a busy nightclub completely full of anxiety and horrible chest pains). Those pills were from a random in a nightclub. Never again...

In summary - try use a trusted source, ask for a sample, test them with a testing kit, buy in quantity if Swiy thinks they're good. Swim knows it hard to get hold of some things, and the temptation is huge in a nightclub if they're floating about, but Swiy just doesn't know what's in them. And thesedays more and more adulterated pills are hitting the streets (McPP, BZP, PMA, etc, etc).

My Bill stepped out last weekend with some magic beans. He has 3 of the pills he had had a few weeks before. Same batch and bought at the same time, however this time they hit him a lot harder, having had no food. Even though he has taken pills numerous times before this time he felt slightly anxious and sick like the very first time he had taken them. Strange but nothing to worry about. Maybe your friend should cut back on the dosage a little like doing a half to ease himself into the trip rather than dropping a whole one.

swim has had panic attacks elevated body tempature (very very hot) from ecstasy pills before.
he moslty thinks that they were alderted or he was alergic to something in them. that was a long time ago and after those 3 times swim had no problem with panic attacks.

if it happeens again just remeber that is has to end.

I looked up on a pill testing site about the red buddha pill in LA (the pill that caused SWIM to have the panic attack) and read extremely positive stuff on it, sayign that it was really strong. considering that SWIM took two of those on his second time, does that seem like a reasonable conclusion that he just had too much?

That site isn't permitted here, sorry, however, in response to Swiy query, every pill is different from the next, and one never can tell exactly what's in them without testing and chemical analysis. Because those particular pills have quite a good overall report (and are popular) then that means there is money to be made on them, so someone could have gone and made 50,000 non-ecstasy tablets that matched the pill design in order to sell them. It happens a lot - a batch of really good pills hits the streets, they become really popular, demand is high, bunk pills with the same design are produced, the hype makes them sell quickly, the producer makes money.

this also happened to swim, on his second time, swim managed to calm himself down, as he was rolling on his own, he watched tv for a while and got through it fairly swiftly

This has not happened to swim exactly. Swim was well into the roll last night and said when going to another room alone she felt like she couldn't leave. After listening to the sound of imaginary balls rolling on the floor swim told herself she could go back to the group. Swim found it helpful to call on another to be with her
