Question Morphine Addiction and Drug Tests

Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum, and have a couple questions. SWIM has a fairly heavy daily morphine (pill form) habit/addiction, and has an upcoming drug test for a new job. I'm trying to find ways to help him out in this. It's my understanding that morphine is detectable in urine for up to 72 hours, so SWIM is considering trying to just go clean for a few days prior to the drug test. The only problem with this is that he tends to get pretty sick, and is unable to function without it in his system. I was thinking he could try taking methadone, or some other synthetic opiate to help ease the withdrawals before the test, but I don't know whether or not any of those are tested for in standard employment drug tests. If they all are in fact detectable/looked for, do you have any other advice that would help SWIM get through the week prior to the test?
