Combining methods of ingestion...safe?

SWIM is planning on using H for the first time very soon. SWIM doesn't want to use any needles. However, he has read that smoking is sometimes ineffective for some people and that snorting can also be ineffective. Would it be safe for SWIM to smoke a little bit and to snort a little as well?

Also, if SWIM is snorting, is it best to start with a small bump since he doesn't know the potency of the H he is getting and go up from there?

I would advise against doing such experiments for the first time. Starting off by not being patient enough to wait and determine one's response to heroin (or any drug for that matter) by a certain route isn't particularly wise, especially with highly addictive drugs such as opiates.

One agrees with the advice of the above poster.

Being patient and a little disappointed at the high is better than being as high as one could ever get but being dead as a result.

One would suggest that if one were to try just snorting a small amount (about 0.05 of a gram would be HEAPS depending on the grade and H type) then waiting about 20 mins and see how SWIyou feel. If SWIyou didnt think it was enough, try a little higher dosage the next day. (one says the next day cos double dosing can be bad for the opiate naive).

H3 is better smoked than snorted. (usually a raw brown coarse powder)
H4 is better snorted than smoked. (usually a white or beige powder)
