Tastes absolutely foul, this product should be thought of as a powerful stimulant drug, not a refreshing energy drink. Goes very well with alcohol if thats your thing.

Word has it the manufacturers are reformulating to improve the taste. I just hope they remove the aspartame, that shit is nasty and unnecessary in a product like this.

I don't think it is under analogue laws as I believe Ireland and the UK have identical analogue laws and this is legal in Ireland (or at least it is openly sold).

Swim got the chance to try this yesterday and has the following to say about it. It came in plastic bottles of 4fl.oz, was the "spiced apple" flavour and it was sickly sweet due to all the artificial sweetners, unpleasant tasting but bareable and gave a warming sensation down the throat similar to whisky or vodka, it was also very very fizzy.

Swim has an average sensitivity to stimulants, is physically fit, has no medical conditions, weighs in at around 10.5 stone and had eaten about 1 hour prior. At first he drank roughly half of a bottle (2fl.oz) in a couple of sips.

+15mins: A mild stimulant effect was first noticed which could be compared to that which an average strenght cup of coffee would give.

+30mins: Roughly the same level of stimulation was felt, consumed another quarter of the bottle (1fl.oz).

+45mins: The level of stimulation has increased dramatically. Is more similar to amphetamines or even methamphetamines than caffiene now. A strong desire to move around is felt and movements (such as typing) have become sharp and a little jerky, heartrate is noticeably elevated, body temperature is normal, slightly thirsty.

+60mins: Can't sit still, need to do something physical, would love to go for a jog or do a bit of sparring but thats not an option, so does push ups and lifts free weights. Muscle fatigue is reduced, energy is high, is capable of doing almost double the amount of push ups in one go compared to two days previous. The same goes for free weights.

+120mins: Has a shower after the work out, stimulant effect still at its peak. Feeling very sociable and talkative. Spends about 45 mins ringing various people up to find out what there plans for later that night are.

+240mins: Consumed the remaining quarter of the bottle, no noticeable drop off in effects yet, still very full of energy and a little twitchy. Goes out to the pub to meet friends. Drinks a couple of beers and then orders a glass of ice water with in the space of 30 mins. Very thirsty, but the beer takes some of the edginess off the stimulation. Spends the rest of the time alternating between drinking a beer and drinking a glass of water. The effects of the alcohol and the clearshot go well together.

+300mins(5hrs): Effects are starting to taper off, hard to tell how much of that is down to the 5 pints of beer consumed. Still feeling quite energetic and is smoking ciggerettes like they are going out of fashion (which is usual for swim when using stimulants)

+360mins: Effects have died down considerably. Feeling is similar, but milder to a cocaine crash, edgy, a little paranoid, no connection to music, feeling a little anti-social, craving for more. Starts drinking more beer and rolls a joint to take the edge off the comedown, still thirsty and is drinking water intermitantly.

+420mins: Comedown has passed completely, just a little drunk now after drinking 9 pints of beer, feeling in a reasonably good humour, a little tired but nothing major.

+One day: Next day no hangover is felt either from the beer or the clearshot. No other problems either.



Swim would like to try this again on a day when no alcohol is going to be consumed to get a better read on the stuff but from the one experience would describe it as being far stronger (and different) to caffiene on its own, a closer comparison would proabably be to cocaine but with a weaker stimulating effect (although not by a very large margin), less euphoria, a more gradual come up and longer duration.

I think the Uk has laws regarding the amout of caffeine alowed in energy drinks, which this probably exceeds.

You can not compare this to a normal energy drink. Geranamine (1,3-Dimethylamylamine) is banned in the UK.

I have not found a reference for this yet, but the distributor says they can not sell to the UK, because 1,3-Dimethylamylamine falls under the MoDA.

Yes, this is better than geranamine. Half a bottle would be a good dose. FUBAR did a full bottle over the period of 5 hours. (4 x 25%)
It is mostly stimulating. I cant say what the duration of a single dose is, since FUBAR took multiple smaller doses. FUBAR had no crash, but was tired. FUBAR noted that alcohol tastes better after the use of clear shot, so I can see problems there with increased alcohol consumption and decreased alcohol effects. Which means lots of alcohol intake and thus possibly a hangover from alcohol.

Smurf would be careful, not sure if this product states how much Gernamine is in it, but he has no doubt that it's the MAIN ingriendent that does the action. As little as 25mg is enough or even too stong for some from what Smurf has read. It takes 50mg+ for him to notice beneficial results though.

From his experience, there are not to many negative side-effects other then insomnia. Too much stimulation can bring it's own side-effects though.

Dosages of over 100mg Geranimine run the risk of nausea, the ginger in this formula may help prevent this.

There is a new(?) product called "Clear Shot Spiced Apple," which doesn't taste too bad (an estimate would be vodka + Sprite + citric acid + green apple flavor).

My vampire just received several bottles of this product. So far, he consumed 1/4 bottle, followed by 1/2 bottle 30 minutes later. In his opinion, it is a mild stimulant and boosts productivity/motivation. May be worthwhile to use for the latter purpose.

EDIT: @Thirdedge: the Spiced Apple product still contains aspartam, among other sweeteners.

is this just a drink with really high caffeine?? because there are easily obtainable pills with high amounts caffeine for a cheap price for a bottle of 100.

Or does it actually have an ingredient that makes it a legal speed?? Gernamine?
