Quitting for a while

Well that is until swim's next crop come's in (g-bolt & bubblegum). What swim is wondering is her and her fiance are heavy smoker's and we need to have a chill sesion for awhile (just to give the lung's a break LOL) SwiWE have done this before (with great difficulty, but swiwe did it...no arguement's )

SwiWE can't stand that icky, grossed out, agitating wierd come down feeling you get that goes along with it. Make's swim feel like she walking around outside of her body. Swim would rather come down of ecstacy and lsd then marijuana. Actually she LOVES that kinda come down.

Swim know's it's not much to complain about compared to alot of other come down's (herion and the like) but I just want to get through this somehow without having these symptom's. Because this is what put's swim off stopping. Swim is also trying to stop smoking ciggarette's. Swim has done this before too, but stupid me....................

Swim is not into prescription drug's either.

So swim is hoping there is someone out there that has some helpful advice for her, otherwise she will have to grin her teeth and bear it which is ok too.

Thanks

Re: Quitting for a while

My cat used to experience the same withdrawal symptoms as SWIY. Then he quit tobacco, smoked pure, and any time he's been without (he has been without for a little while just presently, he tells me), he has been quite surprised to find he experienced no withdrawal symptoms. None at all. My cat was heard to remark that he would certainly enjoy a joint, but was not interested in smoking the sort of crap which is peddled by criminals round his way.

Incidentally, he found that salvia was quite enjoyable and had some similar effects. This might help SWIY because it can help you to relax and consider your predicament in a positive light.

My cat reports that quitting tobacco is hell on earth. Stick with it, though, and you'll feel so much better (mentally as well as health wise). My cat says that quitting tobacco was the first step to a much healthier lifestyle, and has now quit a lot of other unhealthy things like coke (the drink not the powder) and meat.

Oh, and good luck. Remember, you're making a positive change, you're stronger than the little nicotine demons.

Re: Quitting for a while

Thanks for all your advice. It's much appreciated. Swim have come to realize that it is the tobacco that make's swim feel like shit. Her and her fiance were talking about it last night. Swim really want's to give up the tobacco because she know's how bad it is for you. But swim has smoked with tobacco since day 1.....16 year's ago. It's hard to change old habit's, but it's something I really wanna change.

Well today is the first day with no billie's. We are still smokin ciggy's though until we have gotten through the no bong thing. Then we will give up the ciggy's. One day at a time. MInd over matter.

Now about the salvia, swim have never tried this and she doesn't think she will unless it come's across her path.

So glad to hear your friend is doing well with everything. He sound's like he has his shit together and is living a happier and healthier life. All power to him.

Thanks again

We have done it once, we can do it again.

Of course, but try to remember how hard it is to quit so you don't start again!

Re: Quitting for a while

That's it. Swim's have gotten over that nasty feeling now. So it's all good. Swim read back on her first post think's she sounded like a whingin' bloody bitch! LOL Swim usually isn't one to whinge, but must have needed it?

So last pouch of tobacco and that's it. The bong has retired for awhile. Swim is feeling better already.

Peace

Well, swim is holding her head in shame, because it's none of it's true. LOL Although we have cut down alot. Just not smoking first thing in the morning. But it's all good. Just feel as though this was a waste of a thread....oh well....lesson learnt.

Hey burgerman, Good Luck for the next week.

Re: Quitting for a while

the best advice is to get in your head at first that your cutting back, and constantly cut back, and you can take your time, or go as fast as you want.
