1st time doing Heroin.

Hi. I am Callum and I am nearly 17 and I have been thinking hard and long about whether or not to try Heroin, as part of a pledge with my mates. I have never touched it before and my only knowledge about injecting it is this:

1. Put the brown powder into a table spoon, then mix with either water or citric acid (orange, lemon or lime) and mix.
2. Get a lighter and heat up the mixture until it bubbles and mix thoroughy then wait until it cools down.
3. Place a small ball of cotton into the mixture to filter out unwanted particles.
4. Place the needle into the center of the cotton ball and pull back the plunger until enough of the mixture is in the syringe.
5. Use alchohol swabs on the area that is going to be injected. I have narrowed it down to one of the 3 veins in my left arm just on the inside of the bend on the elbow.
6. Slowly inject the needle into your arm and gently pull back the plunger to see if blood comes out, if it does you have successfully hit the vein.
7. Inject the mixture and relax! I intend on throwing away all equipment used as I will only be doing it this once and then after injection I will go over the area used with alchohol swabs and cover up with a plaster.

I know that I should never ever share needles or syringes so I will get my own.

Help and advice is much needed so feedback will be appreciated.

First of all swim would like to say from my her own drug experience's, is that it's not wise to do this in the first place. Especially herion. It's HIGHLY addictive. And if SwiY are thinking of injecting this, well that make's it even more addicting (the needle is just as addicting as the drug). Another bit of advice swim would like to offer swiy is not to do this

as part of a pledge with my mates.

To swim, that's really immature. Be a man and stand on your own two feet. Be a Leader not a sheep. Swiy don't need to be doing this just because your mate's have said so. What kinda of friend's would really do that? Mine certainly aren't going around offering swim herion to boot up. Offering a few billie's Yeah

On the other hand, if swiy do intend to go through with this, then all of the above is correct except for 1. mix with citric acid. Swim never mix's up with citric acid.....never freggin heard of it? (please quote me if swim is wrong). It was alway's either boiled water from the kettle or the water solution you get with your 1ml pack. Another thing to be very careful of is when swiy have drawn up all the liquid from the spoon, swiy must make sure that all the air bubble's are out of the syringe by flicking it.

Just one more thing.......dosage...........BECAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, you've got a lot of learning to do. Firstly, you're only 16, you're way too young. Secondly, here at Drugs-Forum it is advised not to self-incriminate yourself. Use SWIM (someone who isn't me) and SWIY (someone who isn't you) and talk in third person or past tense.

This is completely nuts, don't do it, first time taking heroin at that age, it shouldn't even be a consideration, especially injecting it.

BeachBabeluvinlife, citric acid is needed for brown heroin because the heroin is in base form and needs to be turned in to a salt in order to dissolve in water. Never use lemon juice (i doubt orange juice would work, don't know about lime), always use citric acid or ascorbic acid (vitamin C, NOT effervescent tablets!) preferably BP/USP and sterile.

Take it from a long term injector, it is not something one wants to get in to especially at that age. I first tried heroin when i was 16, i bought my first bag when i was 17, i stayed away from it for a couple of years then got a habit by the time i was 19. I am now 26 (screwed up the DOB when registering), on 90mg of methadone and dream of a better life. Forget heroin, forget fucking needles.

Solinari, thank's for info. Swim has only ever used herion while she was injecting speed for a few year's. Swim's friend's were recovering herion addict's and SwiWE went on holiday's together and swiWE all got on it for a couple of week's then went home again (7 hour's away...thank god....otherwise trouble huh). So in that time, the herion was in rock form, so there was no need for that. And swim's mate's never spoke of this either. But that's still very interesting.
