Dose - odd reaction from 200mg of cocaine

I just would like to write about a distressing experience that happened the other night and to get some input from anyone knowledgable enough to know what might've happened.

My friend was out with me in a bar and someone gave her some coke. She did approx a fifth of a gram in one go. It was her first time using coke and she is in good health apart from that although on that day she hadn't had much sleep the previous night and had also been drinking fairly heavily and taken 3/4 of an E.

The dosage was on the advice of someone else and my friend had no idea of the purity of the coke. I think it was very stupid but the advice she got was off one of her good friends who was a regular coke user so she trusted it.

Anyway, my friend had a nightmarish ordeal, started to feel terrible, barely made it out of the bar and home, felt the worst she ever felt in her life, got very very hot in the face, fairly unresponsive and just felt like complete shite. She also felt like she was dying although she didn't admit this til the next day.

Could 200mg cause an overdose?

IMO, the term "overdose" is a loose one, and it dependant upon the person. Some people may consider an overdose fatal, whilst others believe it to be unpleasant effects (Such as a minor headache or something).

Anyway, 200mg in one go, on the first time with cocaine seems too much. SWIM wouldn't do 200mg in a line because SWIM thinks it's a massive waste, but that's another debate. It could also be an allergic reaction to a cutting agent, but it's most likely a low tolerance, or just a bad experience. If your friend is planning on doing it again, try small amounts like 50mg then wait. Be careful

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I think the term 'overdose' can mean a lot of things like simply overdoing it and doing a tad too much and feeling off, to something much more serious.

The problem was ignorance - the usage by my friend wasn't planned and happened as a bad judgement call after using the other stuff. She did wonder about an allergic reaction. Someone else took a similar amount and was fine but it wasn't their first time. This other person also said it was the highest they'd felt in their life. My friend also would've cut it into 10 or 20 and tried tiny bits first on her own judgement (never to be ignored again) but this friend who she thought was knowledgable about dosages convinced her to cut it into much larger piles/lines.

The only other info is she felt her mouth go numb, then her whole face, and then couldn't feel her feet/parts of her legs and arms momentarily.

It is going to be put down to a bad experience... she never lost consciousness throughout the whole thing but felt like she was going to and fought it a lot.

200mg in a line for some1 who has never used is ridiculous. Especially when unsure of purity...!!

SWIY shouldn't be put off by one bad experience, SWIM thinks. Next time be careful. You can always put more in, but you can't take any out

a dose of cocaine is 20mg not 200! jesus, your friend DID overdose, for the love of god, this is what makes drugs look bad, stupid people doing stupid shit

People need to stay safe All that in one line is just a bit more then needed 3 nice good lines maybe but one big huge unnecessary line for a pure rookie just seems like really bad advice, plus you never know what was in the 3/4 E so maybe the reaction or something in the actual E could have done it as well.
