Exclamation Deadly Research chemicals!

Sorry for the hyped title, but I needed to attract your attention. As you know we are compiling information about specific research chemicals in drug info threads. Some research chemicals pose serious health risks and have resulted in hospitalisations.

It is vital that all incidents are listed in the drug info threads for research chemicals that are related to health problems.

Please take a moment to browse the drug info threads of any research chemical that you know has caused problems and add information about this to the thread.

As a side note: if anyone wants to write up a small article about the health problems and incidents various research chemicals have caused, then let me know.

LOL! Title fooled me. I'll browse the archive and add some stuff when I have some time.

  Good idea for a thread.

Re: Deadly Research chemicals!

Just to get started....

2C-T-7 may be deadly mixed with stimulants and insufflated, under some circumstances.

2C-T-21 was associated with a death-- apparently a man stuck his tongue into a vial.

5 MEO-DIPT was said to be the cause of death of a Japanese man who took 100 mg rectally (a large amount!)

4 MTA has caused a number of deaths. (Nichols seems not to have interned it for human consumption but as a scientific research tool-- not as an RC.)

PMA well known for being deadly.

DOB According to Shugin in PIHKAL:

Quote:
There was a report of a death of a young lady following the snorting of an amount of DOB so massive, there was the actual recovery of over nine milligrams of the drug from her body tissues in the post-mortem examination. It was said that she and her companion had thought that the drug they were using was MDA and, taking a dosage appropriate for this, effectively overdosed themselves. He survived, following convulsions and an extended period (several weeks) of being in a comatose state
.

  Helpful post.

Some highly unpleasant reading here, but very informative as well. one can never know too much about RCs and the body's ...

Re: Deadly Research chemicals!

AMT-related accidents, may actually be 5-MeO-AMT due to ignorance factors.

5-MeO-AMT accident reports.

These reports are not very well documented but, especially in light of the many consistent reports of toxic effects from these drugs, they should be taken into serious consideration.

Re: Deadly Research chemicals!

Its always one of those things SWIM had heard about, but he always told "me" that most of the 2c compounds are really stable, being 2ci, 2ce, 2cb, 2cc etc. can anyone with more knowledge validate what he heard since this is a great spot to find this info for my friend.

Re: Deadly Research chemicals!

Bromo-dragonfly has blamed for a couple of deaths so far, I think all involving large doses.

Actually the 2ct21 death was someone with existing health problems (ie-paraplegic SWIM thinks).

Yes, he was a quadriplegic, but 2C-T-21 still may have killed him.

Re: Deadly Research chemicals!

I know I've read that DOB causes vasoconstriction and in overdoses and stop circulation and lead to gangrene. I haven't heard of a death attributed to this cause though.

I suppose he meant the respective drug info threads, not this one. Fewer people will get the information if it stays in this thread.

What is VASOCONSTRICTION? Swim took a trip across country via train, to LA and that he was stockin up on lsd. The paper was so thick he thought he had some super lsd doses. But he tried one on his train ride back up the coast of california, which he said was very awesome by the way except for the quirky train worker dude who kept comin in his room to offer pepsi or flirt with his GF. Anyway effects were most unlike LSD and was very rushy. At one point swim confirmed he WAS the train when it vibrated.... Later when swim took some more his GF pointed at that their was a huge swollen white patch under his eye, that looked like some kinda disease forming. I can only imagine the fear swim had to endure during the rest of his trip... After sending one of his not-lsd blotters to his freind in Canada, he found it was DOB. His blood test confirmed it. Does that sound like a symptom of vasoconstriction?

dslexic1 added 3 Minutes and 50 Seconds later...

Is this suggesting that I should post this information in another thread? maybe the DOB thread itself?
