serious crash after ecstasy binge

People,

SWIM had a VERY hard ecstasy crash stemming from about 4 - 5 days ago.
For starters, SWIM had about a 5 day binge, 3 of which involved the use of a few pills of E each night. The last night, (5th day) SWIM stopped after eating a semi-effective pill of E. SWIM felt mild effects then slept hard for about a day only to wake up to very bad anxiety and panic attack. (which SWIM sometimes get after binging but for this length and extent)

For the next 4 days SWIM feel these symptoms:

- light headed, dizzy, slight vertigo (like still motion, wavy)
- panic attacks, very warm feeling throughout SWIM's body
- fuzzy feeling in SWIM's head pretty much all the time
- loss of appetite
- some minor sleep deprivation.

SWIM had 2 major panic attacks over the coarse of the 4 days, in which resulted in me crying, thoughts of all damnation, semi-suicidal thoughts. Thank the world for SWIM's girlfriend.

Otherwise, SWIM's memory, intelligence and general day to day functions seem to be in tact, minus a few social anxiety symptoms.

SWIM is a level-headed guy, and don't intend on taking this 'hangover' too seriously, but SWIM was hoping for some comfort or assurance by relating to someone else's similar experience.

SWIM hears these things go on for weeks sometimes.. ??

Thanks in advance and much love!

Re: serious crash after ecstasy binge

Why wouldn't swiy take his "hangover" seriously?

The body is feeling bad for a reason... it is not well. Abuse the body bad enough and one often pays a terrible price.

In my experience, girlfriends will only tolerate self-abuse for a while... continue doing so and they will go elsewhere. What will swiy do when he is in a very low state and then he finds out said girlfriend has had enough? Not trying to lecture but, I hate seeing people learn these things the hard way.

Drugs are meant to be used like tools, not abused.
Of course, this is only swims opinion.
Hope swiy feels better soon.

I am looking for similar mental experiences, nott social. Everything is dandy with the GF.

Anyone experience mild 'vertigo' or bouts of dizziness for significant amounts of time after?

Re: serious crash after ecstasy binge

_____the ______, MDMA (ecstasy) has some not very well understood effects on the brain, which lead to depression with many users. Surely SWIY, will feel OK in the next few days. Try to take pills only one day at a time, once in while.

SWIM never takes MDMA anymore as he gets little enjoyment out of it these days, probably from overindulging in the past.

Re: serious crash after ecstasy binge

Look your body can honestly only take so much, I know when my friend SWIM goes on any hardcore binge (meaning more then 2 or 3 days straight) he feels awfully crappy, your body is trained for years to work under certain circumstances. When your body spends too much time out of it's comfort zone its only expected that it won't be too happy.

My advice is too spread anything you do out, at least take breaks every few days for a week or even better a few weeks. That way a persons body can fully enjoy its exotic journeys.

anxiety and panic attacks are often associated with with the use of different compounds and psychedelics. My friend SWIM had a similar effects after an extended with the 2ci compound.

Re: serious crash after ecstasy binge

Yeah, tough lesson learned.

SWiM does feel better in some areas. Depression has gone down and spirits are higher. Haven't had a panic attack in 24 hours. Though, working at the computer, the vertigo (dizziness) is quite annoying. Hope to see that go too.

If this is recovery, its a slooooow process.

Re: serious crash after ecstasy binge

You should expect these sytoms after a 5 day binge on mdma. A 5 day binge will pritty much obliterate any and all serotonin in your brain and it will probably take another 2-3 weeks to get back to a good level again.

Swim usaually notices that after the 3rd or 4th pill of good quality mdma it basically becomes useless because all the serotonin in your brain is spent(if i understand the process correctly), only giving him a mild speedy affect.

Re: serious crash after ecstasy binge

On another note, SWIM's done 4-5 day benders before, all with hits of E....

took about 3-4 days to recover. SWIM's curious as to why so extreme and lengthy this time around. Different pills?

Anyone experience random recovery times?

Re: serious crash after ecstasy binge

Sometimes SWIM has absolutely zero hangover, sometimes he feels like shit. Probably due to pill content, hydration, and food intake.

SWIM has had only one serious binge with e, back in his younger, oh so stupid days. 3 days, and 46 pills(and they were good too) later, he learned his goddamn lesson. SWIm recommends 2 weeks between rolls, but a month would be on the better side. don't kill the magic.

SWIM felt heavy side effects for around a month later. Slight vertigo, but mostly a emotionless zombie state, and a delay in touch.

That's the unfortunate nature of MDMA. Recovery tends to get more and more severe the more times one takes it, possibly because of permanent changes in the brain. It may be time to move on to something else.

Wow.. A month.. Well at least you recovered. SWIM feel less vertigo and higher spirits today. Appetite coming back slowly as well. Still slightly out of it though.

Seems like its getting better, but damn its taking loooong.

Time to move on indeed. Stickin' to mushies.

SWIM never abuses MDMA, but he used to get crippling depression after a high dose experience. These days he still gets equally euphoric but the depression isn't there.
