Re: Nitrous + Ether. good combo??
SWIM would love with great interest to hear back SWIYs results from this.
SWIMs only thought is as ether is highly flammable and even explosively(?) so, that having it around nitrous would make SWIM extra extra extra careful with matches etc, ether can apparently ignite of static from clothes its that damn flammable Things burning in the presence of nitrous burn alot more fiercely as nitrous has lots of oxygen in its molecule. If ether is explosive to any degree under atmospheric pressure SWIM would stay clear of putting it in a nitrous dispenser (but SWIM does not know enough about ether to know if this Is the case. good luck , peace geezaman |

Re: Nitrous + Ether. good combo??
Though i do not know about the effects on the body i can tell you this is a terrible idea. Compressing a liquid fuel and a gaseous oxidizer in some sort of container is quite simply a hybrid explosive device. Just say you fill a balloon up with nitrous and ether while sitting on your nice fuzzy comfy couch get ready to inhale but drop the balloon or simply place it on the couch. A static discharge from the fuzzy couch arc's to the balloon igniting the mixture inside. BOOOOOM. I cant imagine filling a whip cream cannister with N2O and di-ethyl ether. If that combusted you could very well expect to be considered DOA.

Re: Nitrous + Ether. good combo??
well what about another different approach? what if swim ethered up the inside of his gasmask? this would surely provide a much safer ROA than balloons filled with explosive solvents and oxidisers. however I would think that a balloon exploding right next to swim would be kinda funny. think about it... swim and his friends are casually doing nitrous and ether and then theres a gap in the conversation.... BOOM... everyone starts laughing... even swim who has his eyebrows singed.

Re: Nitrous + Ether. good combo??
even if SWIY was missing a fingar or two, at lest the anesthetic is right there on hand ;-).
Ethering up the gas mask seems alot safer although SWIM would think the risks of passing out could be greatly increased. SWIMs sure he heard somewhere that ether is not something SWIY wants to be putting on their skin as it can burn, so it would have to be applied to the mask carefully. SWIM guesses another issue might be that as ether is a solvent, it could damage the mask. good luck and please post back if SWIY has success, SWIM finds this of great interest. (nice gas mask setup too) geezaman |

will post results of this combo when swim finds some ether. does any swim know if it can hypothetically be ordered of the interwebz? is it legal to own a bottle of raw ether? |

Re: Nitrous + Ether. good combo??
I believe its legal but in the presence of other chemicals it can be considered a precursor. HCl, ether, benzene, sodium hydroxide, cactus, mimosa and some lab equiptment hidden under your couch is not a good idea. Having a bottle of ether under the kitchen sink would most likely be over looked.
