Gasmask Tek

Hi,
Entheogenictruth here to post swims favourite way to accidentally inhale the contents of whipped cream canisters (also known as whippets). the tek for this method i am about to post uses a couple of pieces of equipment:

gasmask (the one i used was a soviet M80 mask)
bicycle inner tube
hose clamp
Whippet cracker (one of the small handheld ones

all of these can be relatively easily obtained from ebay (not discussing sources).

ok first of all is after you have ordered your gasmask you will need to set up one of the filters in the mask. this is relatively simple as it just involves puttin it inside the mask and capping the outside.

ok now. cut your bicycle tube at 2 places at opposite sides and stretch one end of the tube over the inlet of the filter.

pull the other end of the tube through the hole in the mask for the inlet of the filter and make sure that there are no kinks in the tube when u have finished pulling it through. this step can be quite difficult.

now, place the whippet cracker into the open end of the tube and place the hose clamp over it and tighten.

seal the filters on the inside of the mask and off you go.

now for the pictures of the equipment:
The mask swim used:

The type of cracker swim used

as far as swim knows the only real beefs swim has had with this setup isthe mask itself (can get a bit claustrophobic) and the hose clamp. the clamp can be sharp and they do get cold. if anyone can think of a way to avoid this damn annoying problem please let swim know.

if you would like swim can post more pictures of the final product when swim gets home as he is at his place of employment atm. and he doesnt usually carry his mask to work.

enjoy the tek.
any questions? just post.

Here are the pictures of the final product and procedure pics such as the tube streched over the filter and the cracker device on the end of the tube.
sorry about the large size.

Re: Gasmask Tek

SWIM hopes SWIY has a sitter while using that thing.

SWIM has heard too many stories of folk dying from passing out with the mask strapped to them.

Using a balloon means SWIY lets go as soon as they KO and the nitrous stops coming.
Balloons are definitely the safe way to go.

Sweet looking mask though. SWIM would love to don that for a minute or so.
(with a sitter present ofc.)

SWIM imagines adding a reliable shutoff valve attached to a timer. SWIY could choose how long they want gassed for and sit back and relax.

SWIM would also add a litre or so dispenser to the end of the tube. 1 whippet is not enough for him.

Possibly add an air inlet valve to mix the Nitrous with around 20% oxygen. SWIY could have a hella long trip that way.

Re: Gasmask Tek

SWIM thinks that thing is too scary.. could be quite frightening if it got stuck or something. SWIM is also wondering how much gas leaks out the other filter.

Re: Gasmask Tek

If it's done with the safety of a sitter then that's a hell of an idea. But for SWIM it's balloons all the way to reduce the risk of suffocation.
God they're moreish aren't they?!

Re: Gasmask Tek

One could use mask that has straps, without putting the straps on, so that if a black out occurs the mask falls off the face.

Re: Gasmask Tek

Yea i have thought hard about mods to it and have decided that there are a couple of design flaws with the mask (one being that it reaches round your entire head). and the cracker. next gasmask that is made will have straps and a higher durability cracker.

Re: Gasmask Tek

This TEK allows you to use auto-grade nitrous, or other less then "medical" sources with out concern of additives.

Re: Gasmask Tek

im not advocating use of any nitrous and i do not guarantee that this will be able to filter sulfur trioxide from auto grade nitrous... but you can try it if you want... let me know how it goes...
the advantages of this is that you dont inhale the oily residue that is left over when doing many canisters.
