Laced Weed?

Hi, recently I've had a friend who can't stop smoking weed. I do it a lot, however he takes it to the next level. Everyone, even the schools biggest druggies are starting to look down on him. Several people have tried to talk to him. He doesn't listen. He acts completely dependent on it (and don't take this as if I know nothing about weed and he's not really hurting himself, I smoke a lot, and know that weed doesn't make you dependant).

Two days I was talking to him, and he was saying that he sees stuff, colors change with weed and stuff. I know for a fact that it's impossible to hallucinate with it, but he keeps trying to tell me and everyone else that he is, and I think he believes himself. I'm starting to think that whatever he's buying is laced with PCP.

My question is, is that what pcp laced weed would do to a person? Or is my friend just an idiot?

First of all, please do some research. Hullucinations ARE possible when using marijuana. It depends on the strain, and person, and their personal body and brain chemistry to how they react to the phsychoactive effects of marijuana.

Next, use the search engine about laced weed. I have posted time and time again, and it is a fact, that marijuana is almost NEVER laced by anybody other then the end-user. It simply does not make financial sense for a dealer to add cost by lacing the weed they sell, especially with a drug that is much more expensive then weed. When weed is laced by a dealer with PCP, which happens on very rare occasions in BIG inner city ghettos, it is more expensive and upsold as "WET" because of it, as there are people who seek out, and pay extra for that particular experience.

As for your situation, it seems swiy's friend probably is simply seeking reactions and approval from their peers. A good example as to why drugs should be used safely, responsibly, and not as a social acceptance crutch.

The weed laced with PCP myth seems to be as old as the hills.

Weed just doesn't come laced with PCP - it would make no economic sense from the viewpoint of the dealer, as he would lose money on each G sold, as PCP is far rarer and more expensive, and harder to come by than even the best quality cannabis, and he would also scare off a good deal of his customer base.

It sounds like your friend, though, may have a problem which needs to be addressed - despite what you say, I speak from my own personal experience when I say that cannabis can lead to psychological addiction and dependance, and can present withdrawal symptoms if regular use is suddenly halted.

EDIT: Me and pinkavvy seem to have replied at exactly the same time. Maybe if SWIM wasn't so stoned right now and didn't have to go back and correct all his spelling mistakes, he'd look like the smart one right now....

The guys are right! A dealer wouldn't lace his stuff for 2 main reasons

mostly his cost goes up why would he want that.
and second he could turn off valued customers that don't want that pcp experience.

As far as the effects of the Marijuana on him, it's rare, but not unheard of to see things on marijuana especially if its of extreme quality, no you wouldn't see a pink elephant, but to maybe see some distortion or some colors or to at least think your seeing this is somewhat heard of actually.

As everyone probably knows, Coca-Cola used to come with actual cocaine, it of course costed them a bit, but it was not enough to out shadow the profit they received from each bottle sold, and helped hook millions of customers on to their product. Anyway, sounds to me like the dude may have some family issues or something and is just trying to either escape it all or get attention.

aquafina- Actually when cokecola used to contain cocaine, the price of cocaine had not sky-rocketed since it was not illegal, or used much on the black market. The basic costs of making PCP makes lacing it onto marijuana not cost effective.
