kanna cuttings?

How do you take a kanna cutting and prepare it for shipping?

How does the cold effect shipping?

Re: kanna cuttings?

Heres what SWIM has gathered. He has not done it himself but seems all SWIY has to do is cut a healthy branch at the node with a razor and then putting it in soil and give it some heat from below. Its supposed to root fairly easily w/o root hormones but SWIM doesn't know for sure.

SWIM would suspect that SWIY would have to put a heat pad of some sort with it if SWIY would like to ship it.

Re: kanna cuttings?

Iv grown this succulent for many years now, it should be very easy to root. I prefer to root in Lava Marbles, in Ph adjusted water with a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer. (its not very picky).
Though I do prefer to use Rooting hormone(gaba) its not needed.

Its best to have an air pump/stone in the water with lava rocks.
Good luck though im sure you wont need it.

Peace man.

Oh btw have you ever prepared it? iv been having trouble getting it right.

Re: kanna cuttings?

Oh i forgot about your shipping question.

Shipping is where i have had the most trouble, if you must ship during winter. Insulate the package well adn add some heat pads(the chemical kind) but buy the longest lasting ones you can find.

Dont be too devastated if you loose a batch. it happens

Re: kanna cuttings?

Yea I have put the Fresh Macerated Leaves in a plastic bag in the sun for a few days(checking regularly. Waiting for it to start smelling fermented, once this happens I dry and powder. This product doesn't hold a candle to the Pharmaceutical grade that suppliers sell, not sure what to think.

Thats just what a number of Etheno sources were calling it.

It was a good product, but wasnt the kind of experience im interested in. it is a nice plant ot have in the window though.

Re: kanna cuttings?

SWIM recieved cuttings of this plant just in a plastic tupperware box padded with strips of newspaper.. they were fine and rooted sooo quickly.
that was in winter in england.
They were just literally cut branchy bits
