Problems Passing Urine on E!

People.. What's happenin. Swim has been taking drugs now for atleast 2 years! Tryed most. Everytime Swim has done pills or MDMA,he has had no problem with comedowns,passin urine etc. The last few times Swim has taken MDMA and pills he has,for a short period of time had problems passing urine..! Swim thinks it could just be paranoia. Not being able to pass urine is a big sign of dehydration, but was just wondering, does anyone else get this problem at all? Or any tips on how to maybe get the thought out of Swims head!? Swim tries doing things like turning on the tap in the sink and relaxin.... Swim gets very frustrated though when he can't pee... and it somtimes ruins Swims buzz! Any ideas would be great, thanks!

SWIM has done E a couple of times at fairly low doses and has this difficalty too. It is pretty much psychological for SWIM, but there is a physciological basis too for not being able to urinate. MDMA promotes the release of anti diuretic hormone vasopressin, which suppresses urination. But SWIM thinks his tabs weren't very pure; though they were psychedelic, they felt kind of dirty and strange physically. Hard to say ofcourse since that's the only batch SWIM has tried. It caused also a slight pain during urination after the drug had worn off, but others didn't experience this.

Difficulty urinating is a very common side effect of MDMA use. As psyche pointed out, MDMA causes secretion of antidiuretic hormone (ADH); ADH inhibits urination by promoting the kidneys to reabsorb water. In SWIM's experience, this side effect usually disappears within about 12-14 hours of dosing (when he wakes up the next morning). SWIM doesn't think too much about urinating while under the influence of MDMA (in fact, it's probably the last thing on his mind). However, it is a little disconcerting or "uncomfortable" afterwards when he is unable to pass urine. It usually takes quite a while for SWIM to be able to produce any results, but he is usually able to by relaxing and concentrating deeply (which he knows can be rather difficult after a long night of indulgence). SWIM's MDMA-using friends agree that the best way to overcome this side effect is not to think about it and just try to relax your body. Sometimes it can be pretty hard to ignore the "urination thought loops", but obsessing about it always seems to make the mission a lot harder.

My friend consumed MDMA recently and he didn't urinate for at least 8 hours. He doesn't think about it and just understands it's a side-effect of MDMA. Remember not to drink excessively in hope of passing urine, this will not help.

Remember not to drink excessively in hope of passing urine, this will not help.

QFT. This was swim's idea the first time he rolled. lying in bed in extreme pain is an awful way to end a fun night.

As for fixing the problem, swim has found sitting on the toilet seat and relaxing helps a lot. Then try putting some pressure by contracting swiyour abs. Once the flow starts just keep pressure and everything will be normal by the time swiy is done taking a leak. This is a bit embarassing at a rave with no door on the stalls though...

taking a shower helps swim but he has to relax as forcing it is not the way for him.

SwiFr couldn't for a while while but he was thirsty and kept drinking. He got all swollen in the face. Uh-oh.

Later he was finally able to and probably peed two, maybe three liters at once.

It's recommended not to consume excessive alcohol before, during and after ecstasy use.
