Sometimes when swim is on a long trip and still is hours away from his destination, he would really like to spark up a small bowl (not when he's driving). Swim is a bit of a paranoid type person and always worries about being detected. Swim wants to know, are there any good ways to avoid detection when rolling down the interstate? Swim is mainly talking about the smell, or can other cars even smell what he is doing?

Well, if the windows are rolled up the other cars most likly would be able to smell it. However the car will then fill with smoke-causing any cop thats not blind to pull you over. However, SWIM has found a vaperizor online that looks like a cigar-but he can't remember what site.Sorry, SWIM has a stoner memory.

swim was once on his way back home from a restaurant with his parents when all of the sudden the distinct smell of weed filled the minivan (swims dad had his window down). when swim and his family got in the other lane and passed the car that had been in front of them, it was none other than swim's sister smoking a joint with her window half down. NIK's advice is that if swiy is going to smoke in the car, swiy shouldnt have anything that cant be eaten in the event that he gets pulled over with his car reeking of weed. and roll the windows up. swim also wouldnt actually smoke on the interstate, he would take an exit and drive around on some secluded roads.

Smoke the bowl outside the car and chew some minty gum. Should be fine as long as you're not too baked.

Swim is going to recommend some man's deodorant, some smellies for the car, a pack of chewing gum and a bottle of clear eye's if you are that worried. Swim know's you wanna smoke a bowl and also knows that no other utensil will give the same 'high' but she recommend's that maybe you could smoke a blunt instead, maybe it won't look so obvious to other's. Just pull over somewhere quite and 'act casual' like you are havin a rest or checking your engine or whatever.

Here in Australia it's really easy to smoke 'roadies'. There is lot's of country side and people here aren't going to be too worried about someone pulled over on the side of the road unless it's 'obvious' to them (flat tyre, etc). The police on the other hand would obviously be sniffin out the situation.

Anyway, best of luck and you should try and invest in a smoke that doesn't give you that paranoid feeling....something that's more indica dominant.

Swim doesn't see what the big deal is, he doesn't mind smoking were ever he's at. He's smoked in public places before, the car has never been a problem, just roll a blunt and act natural. Swim has even been pulled over and asked what the smell was and got off scot free.

If swiy is a truck driver, they will pull your cdl's and probably screw you over horribly. Swim has a friend that is a truck driver and smokes weed. It's a huge danger, but in the car, don't be so paranoid. Swim has never even thought about smoking with the window down and cars smelling it behind him, this thought never even crossed his mind lol. Swim may just be pushing his luck, but he has been smoking in the car casually for a long time now.

swim gets more paranoid smoking anywhere but the highway. he would think that on the highway, at least in his area, when the car behind him smells the smell they are more likely to think they drove over a dead skunk than to think the person infront of them is toking. cops on the other hand might suspect it but are unlikely to pull you unless the car has smoke pouring out the window. and one last tip is ozium it has worked miracles for my friend.

Be careful--there are unmarked cars on some interstates looking for sketchy things. Once, SWIM and his girlfriend were caught by one of these, passing a pipe between them /

swim often smokes joints while in the car. bowls are trickier, especially with having to light it repeatedly. granted, the amount of smoke produced is less and can be directed easier than with a joint. the big pro for joints is that they look like cigarettes.

In SWIMS day of driving around smoking his method was to spray all cloth apholstery in the car with axe or some kind of cologne before you smoke. In SWIMS experience this greatly reduces the amount of weed smell that sticks to these places. And dont box the car, leave the window cracked and try to get as much smoke out of the window as possible. Also dont use the recirculate function on the air conditioning or heat as this will make your car smell like weed everytime you turn it on in the future.

Also ozium works wonders, gum, and eye drops like others have mentioned.

SWIM would suggest just finding a back cut road that is very lightly traveled and behond everything else just use common sense.

LOL swim has done this also, this works very well concidering that axe smells good as hell for what about 15 minutes? Axe is seriously underlasting. Good mask though, also tag works, bod, any type of cologne or spray, main thing.

If you get pulled over roll all the windows down at once, spray the car while your doing this and light everybody in the car a cigerate. It's better to look suspicious then be charged as guilty. There's lots of things you can do to cover up the smell of weed.

Beside's its just weed, even if you do get caught your not going to prison, unless ofcourse you are already a felon or have a previous criminal record and this would just add a "strike". Eat it, throw it out get it out of site or get rid of it. No point in wasting a shitload of money for uneccessary charge's.


If your too paranoid about doing it, then the best advice is don't. Because somebody has to talk to the cops and in the case SWIY gets pulled over its gonna be SWIY talking to the police, if SWIY freak's then SWIY has then condemned themself. Cops are trained to notice if you are unusually scared or have an extreme ammount of anxiety upon his arrival. When smoking on the rode, SWIY is your worst enemy, if swiy can control there mood then swiy should be okay.

SWIM drives far distances everyday, and he loves smoking the ganga underway... it's a ritual before work every morning too...SWIM suggests tinting your windows and smoking blunts or joints so you don't have to drive with your knees and constantly spark the bowl. SWIM says be smart and safe. SWIM suggests keeping incense on the defrost vents, so if SWIM needs to he can crank the heat and get the car smelling fresh VERY quick. Make sure SWIMs car is legal, and don't drive like SWIM is doing something illegal... cops won't hassle SWIM in his town doing 5-10mph over... but a young guy doing the speed limit looks very suspicious with a car full of smoke.

swim thinks swiy are too paranoid and think about it too much. swim is 18 and smoke in the car everyday while driving. swim just acts normal like swim is doing nothing wrong. the chances are slim to none if swiy is not speeding or acting stupid or paranoid. chill space cadet

A few things that have been mentioned by others:

1. Don't bring on the road more than you can eat if you get pulled over. This alone is going to be 99% of your protection from authorities, but for thoroughness I'll post a couple more tips.

2. Smoke a joint, don't smoke a bowl. If you roll the joint with a joint rolling device, it's so perfectly circular that only the most trained eye would ever know it's a joint. This also makes it a lot easier to follow the third tip.

3. Keep the windows down. Not only will it smell less in the car in case of getting pulled over, smoke won't build up to the point that it's visible. If you're smoking a bowl, this will be impossible because of the wind blowing out the flame. Keep in mind that you're on the highway, not going slowly in a city with plenty of stops. That wind is going to take the smoke away in an instant, in all likelihood never to be smelled again.

4. Smoke a joint. Now that I think about it, almost all states have dirty paraphernalia laws. In that case it won't matter if you eat all your weed; if they find your pipe, you're in deep shit. I'd also like to reiterate the massive difference of conspicuousness in relighting a bowl versus toking a cigarette-looking joint.

Basically, bring a few pre-rolled joints from a rolling machine. They cost like three bucks. If you're smoking good stuff that you don't want to smoke a whole joint of, just put it out halfway through and relight later in the trip. Follow all these tips and you don't have to worry about going 10 minutes out of your way just to have a smoke.

SWIM would not suggest smoking in the car. However, SWIM does tend to smoke in the car... too much. In SWIMs state, they cannot jail people for under 200 grams, but can give 90 days for a pipe. They can even charge SWIY with posession of marijuana if there is resin in the pipe, so eating the stash would only keep SWIY slightly less stressed on the way to jail, and not get SWIY one less charge. This is why everybody suggests joints or blunts because the roach can simply be eaten or tossed out the window. SWIM has never tried to eat a metal or glass pipe, but wouldn't want to have to try lol. As far as the smell in the car, remember that the smell will stay for a while. SWIM has got into the car before after smoking the previous day, turned on the heat and got a nosefull. Keeping the windows down on the highway will help this, but the odors will embed themselves in the fabric of your car. A dog could pick up on this, or even on the door handle if SWIY was handling weed before getting in the car. If SWIY doesn't keep any paraphenalia in the car, there shouldn't be much to worry about. Even if the car reeks like reefer, if there is no weed and no pipe etc, there should be nothing to worry about. SWIM was charged with being under the influence of an illegal substance or some BS like that before, but SWIMs friends actually had marijuana and pipes on them. SWIM is not sure if they could charge them with this without the prescense of those things or not. Either way, smoking joints is not only safer legally, but way safer when driving. Also, use come common sense. As mentioned before, make sure the car itself is legal, and make sure if SWIY is not driving that whoever is, better be a decent driver. Also, if all the other cars are going 70 in a 55, don't go 55. The police for the most part are not so ignorant that they wouldn't know something is up. Just keep in mind that after a car has been smoked in, a dog will probably be able to detect the lingering odor in your car for weeks afterwards, giving them reasonable cause to search the car. If SWIY just pre-rolls their smoke and eats it in case of an emergency, obviously it won't matter if they search the car.

The videos are mostly common sense, but it is good to watch and make sure SWIY isn't doing anything that could draw attention that SWIY isn't aware of.
