SWIM's experience with MDMA shares many similarities to that of a DXM trip
Disclaimer to SWIM's probably mis-leading thread title, SWIM knows what swiy will think straight away, and yes he knows that it is not uncommon for a supposed X tablet to contain DXM, but he has tested these using a tester, and also done a lot of different kinds of MDMA, and from testing, using, and experience he can tell the difference between a dud and some good shit.
He has also done dxm a lot, and can say there are really many similarities when it comes to your state of emotion not necessarily physical, but on a spiritual level they seem to be eerily similar in experience, and he knows probably that some people will strongly disagree with this but this is just some similarities that a semi-experienced user of both has noticed: He has been able to think about very difficult situations in his own life without a sense of fear, guilt, sadness, or anger while on both of these drugs, something that he has not experienced with any other kind of drug. Sure, sometimes SWIM may have a brief moment of bizarre self reflection and realization with other things, but nothing as deep and spiritual as both MDMA and DXM have been. On both of these drugs he's been able to talk with those who have hurt him the most, and come to an understanding and forgiveness with the person. Not only that, though, but the experience seems to "stick," if you follow what SWIM means, it's not like a drunk dial where you express your love to someone you barely know and think about it the next morning like "what the fuck was i thinking?" The experience and realizations SWIM has come to with DXM and MDMA seem to stick in his brain and even become a major part of recovery in his life. There is also an extreme want or need to communicate, talk, love, anything. swiy will feel the need to just get things off your chest, and bare your entire soul to someone. It can be a scary but very powerful and overwhelming experience, also something I have never really experienced except with these 2 drugs. It is a possibility though, that this is just a part of SWIM's personality that these drugs bring out in him, and not necessarily everyone who uses these. Physiologically, from SWIM's limited understanding and reading anyway, is that both DXM and MDMA affect serotonin levels and reuptake, and being that SWIM has clinical depression, this could also be why these may be affecting him in a different way than some people. Also note that SWIM really does not believe in any way whatsoever should these drugs be used as anything but as the most careful and planned form of recreation, it is NOT the answer to life or problems in life, no matter how much it feels like it is, or how much swiy feel like swiy feels like he is content while on them, it is just temporary and you are doing damage to your mind regardless of how careful you are, chemicals just are not healthy for the brain no matter how swiy decides to look at it. The dangerous truth is, SWIY will feel like he doesn't need help but he really does if he is in this situation, so please go against your better judgment and seek the help SWIM hopefully may have convinced you a little that you may need , your life may hang in the balance. Alright, now swim will step off his soapbox and let this lengthy e-driven rant take its course, he knows there are more similarities he can think of some physical ones too, but he will open this up for you to discuss if you like. Anyone else feel this way about these 2 beautiful but dangerous drugs? |

Re: SWIM's experience with MDMA shares many similarities to that of a DXM trip
SWIM also thought it may be prudent to add, that DXM was the first time he had ever experienced an altered state of mind, even before alcohol, so he tends to compare everything that he's tried since then to that first experience. DXM was SWIM's first lover, I guess. Don't know if anyone else has that problem, swim's a little weird I'm starting to think.

Re: SWIM's experience with MDMA shares many similarities to that of a DXM trip
Swim's never had X, so he can't comment there. He doesn't find it too incredible, though. DXM definitely affects serotinin and may affect dopamine; that would make it somewhat similar to X, I think.
Swim can say that he feels strong feelings of empathy on low doses of DXM (1st or 2nd plateau) that remind him of the empathic feelings he had with 2C-I. ECL |

Re: SWIM's experience with MDMA shares many similarities to that of a DXM trip
Swim has to agree that there are more than one similarity in common when talking about these two drugs. Swim drank two bottles of Zicam for the first time yesterday and got floored. Swim found the two drugs to both have a very strong body high. Swims skin tingled all over and was very sensitive to the touch. The feeling reminded swim of a time when swim was floored on a rave floor because of taking to much XTC. In hindsight swims thinking that the pills that swim took that night were lased with DXM. Although the pills swim took definatly had XTC in them as well. Swim thinks the two of them together are very enjoyable. Swim has done E enough times to say though that it was not just that night. They do have some very real similarities. Taking DXM is kinda like candy flipping actually. Except swims favorite parts of LSD and XTC are missing. DXM is very bizare and hard to describe. Swim will put it this way, and this will confuse you even more. Swims favorite two drugs by far are LSD and XTC. And even better than that is butting the two together. At the same time Swim thinks that DXM is probably at the bottom of the list of swims favorite drugs to do. Swim can see why this stuff is still legally sold over the counter as cough medicine. Because although it is very potent, it kinda sucks, and swim thinks it would be very hard to become habit forming. It seems like the only drugs that the government is concerned with banning are the ones that make you feel good. We wouldn't wont people to feel good now would we?

Re: SWIM's experience with MDMA shares many similarities to that of a DXM trip
It's okay to go to the doctor and get a drug that makes you feel not-depressed or not-anxious, but it's morally wrong to take a drug that makes you feel good.
Tell your friends not to mix DXM and XTC! It's dangerous. One has to be careful mixing DXM with anything, even tobacco. ECL |
