Purity - Purple, Yellow, Brown, Pink And White

SWIM recently purchased a large amount of MDMA.. Usually he gets a large pink crystal which he likes...

This recently purchased stuff has five different colour tints to it...SWIM has tryed many different coloured crystal but has never seen one large crystal with this many colours in it, the bottom of it is yellow, it then goes to a white colour to a pink to a brown to purple....

SWIM has no real knowledge of chemistry and wonders if someone would be good enough to give a basic explanation - Swim does understand MDMA can be these colours has he has tried MDMA in these colours before but is not sure if one lump should contain all these colours and/or if is good?

There is about 1/2 an ounce apparently according to SWIM......

Sounds pretty bizarre. MDMA is usually light grey to white from what SWIM's seen. I guess the extra colours may indicate that it may be tainted. The only way to know for sure would be to test it. If it can't be tested, at least get a guinea pig report from someone you trust who's tried it. Sounds a bit dodgy honestly.

Most MDMA is tainted, it's just the nature of the drug. SWIM just acquired a huuuuge shipment of blue dolphins, but from swim's experience they can be either really awesome or fantastically shitty, that's just the way it goes i guess. I'd bet all the money in my bank account (31 bucks woot!) that swiy's is tainted in 1 way or another.

Monkey has come across MDMA is all those different hues with no complaint about quality... colour isn't a very good indicator except for differentiations between batches...

However, He's never come across different colours within a single rock! That sounds odd. Unfortunately monkey doesn't have the chemical knowledge to tell swiy why that might be.

SWIM says the crystal mdma he has been getting was always brownish, yellow and swimmers in this forum have comfirmed that this is indeed normal... SWIM himsefl has no clue...

Ah-ha! Yesterday Monkey obtained some MDMA that had a very red shell and was yellow on the inside! The quality was reportedly fine.

Why not just clean it up with a simple acetone wash? dosent require any fancy equipment or knowaldge.

Swim used to get mdma crystal that was a red colour and trust me it was the SHIT.swims never had the like before or since...

SWIM usually gets MDMA in an off-white brownish colour. Quality is very high. I believe the brownish tint usually comes from skipping the last step of manufacture to increase yield.

when SWIM has gotten pure MDMA, it has been either pure whitish color or an off white color and he has also gotten brownish colored MDMA before

As fnord suggests a simple acetone wash should take care of all those discolorings, they're probably leftovers from sloppy or no cleaning up after synthesis, oxidized leftovers perhaps. Even though it is discolored it may very well be quite potent none the less, SWIM remembers one batch of brown MDMA was lab tested in his country and turned out to be 87% pure and actually cleaner than a batch of offwhite crystals that were in circulation around the same time which turned out to be only 84% pure.
