hi all swim is thinking of trying codeine swims parents have a lot of co-codamol pills that they no longer use they told swim to throw them in the bin but instead he stashed them hes wondering for a first time whould 10 pills be a good dose to try the pills say 8mg+500mg swim is also going to try cold water extraction cheers

My opinion is NO.

Does swim know for sure that he is not allergic to codeine?
A much safer idea is to try 3 and see how that works. Then go higher if needed. The effects of opiates can vary from person to person. One person will tell you 80mgs is nothing to them. Another might think that is too much (yes I know, most will say 80mgs is nothing).

The other factor is the massive amount of acetaminophen there is in those. 10 of those pills is a full 5 grams of acetaminophen... that is a lot for the liver to handle.
Wikipidia says -

"The toxic dose of paracetamol is highly variable. In adults, single doses above 10 grams or 150 mg/kg have a reasonable likelihood of causing toxicity.[33] Toxicity can also occur when multiple smaller doses within 24 hours exceeds these levels, or even with chronic ingestion of doses as low as 4 g/day, and death with as little as 6 g/day."

Yes, a cold water extraction is the way to go if indeed swim wants to play with Tylenol+opiates.

thanks for reply m8 i dont think iam allergic to them sometimes when i had a bad headake mum gave me a couple and nothing went wrong i also thought if you did the extraction you end up with just codeine i dont know what the other chemical is u mention does the extraction only get rid of the para cheers

Tylenol is a brand name for paracetaomol in the USA.

And Acetaminophen is the American chemical name for Paracetamol.

hi all swim did the cold water extraction first time with 10 pills and felt nothing but in the morning had a mild stomach pain also couldnot got to loo for a couple of days last night swim tryed 22 pills useing the cold water extraction still felt nothing but feels like the worst hangover ever and bad stomach pain is there a reason why codeine seems to have no effect on him or is even 22 pills not enough cheers
