Long term effects of heroin addicts?
If a person or group of persons showed the following symptoms or culture, is it possible this person or persons may have experience of heroin addiction?
Overly present themselves as spiritual or mystical. Strong Aesetic/Idealogical views. Militant activism. Homeopathic healthcare. Self administration of Mercurius Solubilis and Arsenicium Album. Strict diet, vegan, vegetarian, coeliac, gluten free, no immune system. History of squating, living in rural isolation. Fear of authorities, doctors, police, social services. Living in poverty when they have money. Seeming poor and possibly fiddling tax returns to seem so. Fear of a public record. Glassy eyes and poor teeth. Thin and gaunt. Wears rose tinted spectacles or colored contact lenses. Travel to the east to seek ayurvedic healing. Close tribe like community, fearful and suspicous of others. Hippyfied ideas and culture. Veruca looking marks on feet. Poor self identity, believing we should live like ancient ancestors. Sees world as dysfunctional, other people and environment. Seeks to suggest they are the only ones with the answers. Strong pagan beliefs. Feelings of oppression. Self certified professionalism away from mainstream culture or professionals. Only safe within the group who share such culture and views. list not intended to be exhaustive. Views to my question very very appreciated. |

Re: Long term effects of heroin addicts?
I'm not totally sure of your question, but I'll answer as best I can. Maybe that will help things along.
Some of the things that you mention may be seen as stereotypes for drug use, but not all of them. Those that could be seen as such are not really specific to heroin, and are certainly not specific to heroin addiction (as opposed to use). Are all items the list supposed to apply to this hypothetical group? In other words, are they all supposedly spiritual, idealogical, militant and all the other things? I have plenty of counter-examples. People who are one or more of these things, but are not heroin addicts or even drug users. For example, I know several strict vegetarians who've never touched smack. So, could you expand on the question a bit? |

Re: Long term effects of heroin addicts?
The proposed people are pretty much 99% of all of those things but to varying degrees, for example if one was a mother who wore the contact lenses and was maybe the heavy user with resulting probable neuro brain disease and one child grew in the womb, was breast fed in a hut in the woods hiding away from society... and the first child resulting with no immunity 30 odd years ago, then the other proposed child who comes 4 years later was brought up in a way to try and counteract that behaviour, but several relapses over 30 odd years meant the kids had no end of it..... with perhaps school exchange programmes cancelled because of drug use... and if the assumed mother was later a self styled counseller with the father of the children also a self styled counsellor.... of drug use.... the father still a self styled counsellor....and years later the same two counsellers and their kids, with all those they counsellled are a tribe...... and the average joe on the street in the town refers to them as the hippies, as the heroin users, as mad such and such...... Does this sugest heroin use.

Re: Long term effects of heroin addicts?
99% of those stereotypes explain about 99% of people in general, so if that were to be the case then that would make us all Heroin addicts would it not? lol.
peace.
