PT Resin vaporization and caffeine.

SWIE never had any experience with smoking PT concentrated resin, but it looks that it may be a wasteful way.

Most swiyers make their resin using some kind of acid, sometimes its used vinegar/lemon/citric acid/others.. So in the end product (resin) the alkaloids would be in salt mode, example: morphine acetate.

Morphine like its more know cousin heroin should be smoked as base and not as a acid salt form. Alkaloids in their salt form are heavier and more subject to destrution by heat.

Many swiyers in the US of A and Northern Europe who gets heroin in their salt form sometimes add caffeine to make heroin more easy vaporizing. This happens cause caffeine has evaporates at low temps and tends to make heroin evaporate along the caffeine at low temps, by doing so destroying less heroin. Swie has read in another forum that one should use at least 40% caffeine per amount of heroin.

So swie would believe the same thing should be done when smoking morphine/opium alkaloids in their salt form.
Any of you swiyers see any good reason for adding some caffeine to the PT resin? Just enought to make it evaporate easier. This could be done by adding caffeine to the PT before it evaporates completly, or after.


PS.As (most of) you swimmers know by now, this is only meant for smoking and not for oral ingestion, as it would add nothing but caffeine effects to the oral PT.

Pharmaceutical heroin for inhalation was developed for a clinical trial on co-prescription of heroin and methadone to chronic treatment-resistant heroin addicts. Diacetylmorphine base was selected as the active pharmaceutical ingredient for this product with caffeine anhydrate added as an excipient. Differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis showed that addition of caffeine resulted in a lower melting temperature and a higher volatilisation rate for the mixture than for diacetylmorphine base alone. Recovery experiments showed that 40.8 ± 5.3% of diacetylmorphine base could be found in smoke condensate after volatilisation of diacetylmorphine–caffeine tablets. All of the caffeine from each tablet was recovered unchanged in the fumes, while 85.6% of the diacetylmorphine from each tablet was recovered, either unchanged in the fumes or as non-volatilised residue. Recovery was found to be reproducible and only small differences were found between the tablet types. The experimental set-up was found to efficiently collect the vapours resulting from heating the powder. Under the tested experimental conditions, no evidence was found that degradation products of diacetylmorphine or caffeine, other than 6-acetylmorphine (5.9%) had volatilised, even though a decomposed residue was present after heating diacetylmorphine–caffeine samples. Diacetylmorphine–caffeine was found to be a suitable basis for pharmaceutical heroin to be used by ‘chasing the dragon’.

Just posted here for the name of science and know how.. I never even had PT in my life... Alltought i'm a trying to find a way to recover/live way from heroin.
