Opiates as antitussives

So SWIM has been a recreational user of Oxycodone for some time now. He likes to restrict his trips down Euphoria Lane to just weekends, where a usual dose of 30mg is enough to start him off. So it could be said that SWIM has a mild to moderate tolerance to the junk.

He's developed a nasty sinus thing that no amount of decongestant will touch. He desperately wants the coughing to stop. But he doesn't feel like going loopy tonight - it's against his principles to dose up twice in a week. His question is this: Would a small dose - say, 5mg of IR Ocycodone - produce sufficient antitussive effects without getting high?

Yes, a dose of 5mg to 10mg would help.
