Subutex and Methadone

Swims friend is on a Methadone maintenance, and was given some Subutex from a friend, a few 8mg's. Is there any dodgy side-effects from takeing the two together - Subutex and Methadone?

It will probably put him in precipitated withdrawals! Don't take subs when you're on methadone!!! You have to wait at least 48 hours before taking subs. And why would he want to take subs when he's on methadone? If he wants to switch to sub-maintenance he has to taper to about 15 mgs of methadone, wait about 2 days and then start subs. Sub won't give him a high, on the contrary.
So, unless he's really dopesick (meaning longer than 48 hours, no methadone or other opiates in his body) I would never take subs.

subs = subutex? that's like the slang i take it?
i got some euphoria/slurred speech when i took 2mg subutex though, so.. maybe u can get high?

The subs were givin 2 swiss's friend and have been lieing around just incase he ever missed his meth script.

DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!

Taking subtex while on methadone will put you into severe immediate withdrawals. My husband made that stupid mistake even after being told this and he got deathly ill within minutes. I thought he was going to die. I've seen firsthand what taking those two will do. I have also heard from many professionals and on message boards like these not to take the two. Do not listen to anyone who says otherwise.

sorry i didnt clarify. swim took subutex like only one day, and swim didnt start methadone until like a month later. so id listen to the person above me. i DID NOT TAKE METHADONE AND SUBUTEX AT THE SAME TIME.
