magnets and DXM/K

while on heavy does of DXM et al. grandma swears shes been able to feel some sort of magnetic pull from the earth/strong magnets,it could be thats shes going senile in her old age but she felt she would ask others.

SWIM feels quite the opposite, as if he weighs less. SWIM gets all bouncy and loves to walk.

Re: magnets and DXM/K

im not talking about feelings of weightlessness,im talking about being able to feel something pulling from certain large or magnetic objects, similar to salvia but not as intense and very rare in my friends experience.for example once grandma felt teh pull of a speaker magnet that was in her pocket it was litterly pulling her to one side a little effects left once she threw the magnet out of her pocket.

Re: magnets and DXM/K

speaker magnets are heavy - possibly the distorted feeling of weight pulling downwards on a jacket pocket?

Re: magnets and DXM/K

a sense of everything at rest having some kind of physical tie to the earth? SWII has noticed this effect on DXM, even with his own body while sitting. a feeling of peace/symbiotic harmony comes through and in these situations he tends to have the strongest trips. not saying the two are directly related, but this feeling comes into consciousness, which is where it never manifested itself before on any other experience than DXM. he has never obtained K so unable to make a cross-reference to another dissociative

Re: magnets and DXM/K

I know what your trying to ask. My friend has too felt the pull of strong magnets about a half inch from his fingertips. usually with rare earth magnets.

no telling why this happens. it could be that you are actually feeling the magnetic force, or it could just be in your head. But isnt all reality just in your head.

Re: magnets and DXM/K

I say could be, rare earth magnets are quite strong. Swim found out dxm and ketamine seems to shut down some filters in ones brain. (Like when listening to a different language then swims mother language, swim is able to experience the incomprehensible sound and the translated thoughts at once. Normally the first would be suppressed.) Normally one would probably ignore it. It probably isn't magnetism, what is felt. But induced electricity in the nerves endings by the movement of the magnet. One can test this hypothesis by moving the magnet really fast from left to right next to a finger tip.

Re: magnets and DXM/K

Try a blind test: give someone else two objects of about the same size, one being a strong magnet, and the other just a dummy. Then put a blindfold on and ask the person to use either the magnet or dummy at random a few times and record your responses.

If it turns out that SWIY can actually feel the magnet, and the tester is not giving any hints, then it's an interesting phenomenon.

The problem is,grandma dosent always get this effect.while shes only dosed once in the past year? she remembers feeling this effect only a few times while on dxm maybe this was because she only touched a magnet once or twice while tripping or maybe as stated in the first post she really is going senile?

Re: magnets and DXM/K

Well, I've read somewhere that Bats do use magnetic force for direction controlling while they fly. (sorry cannot remember the journals). The scientists had conduct an experiment having a large cage with bats inside, when they release the bats, all the bats lies to the same direction, and when they turn on the magnetic field 2x strong as the earth in the opposite direction, about half of the bats flies to that direction.

Bats are mammals so do human and they can sense magnetic force.

Although personally SWIM do not believe that DXM makes people able to sense the magnetic force, but this shows that it is not impossible, so conduct a blind test :P

average value from around 50 test(s) should result what happen

Re: magnets and DXM/K

Any chances for a blinded test? Chemical-induced extrasensory perception sounds interesting. Many have hypothesized that psychedelics open the doors of perception to physical stimuli we can't normally perceive, but it all sounds a bit too much like humbug.

swim have seen and felt extersenroy percetion a lot of drugs persoaly he feels this was at on point a mager part of humanity and the modern world has tought us to fliter it out and drugs open up unused part of are mind such as the afor stated and he also extery perception is nothing more then are abilty to sence and minipalate magnetic feilds so in swims opion this is not just posable but likely
