safe with alcohol?
SWIM ate 40mg of Ritalin earlier today and is coming down now. Is it safe to have a few beers?

A few beers should not be a problem in the situation SWIY described. Make sure he has a glass of water as well, can never be too hydrated.

When methylphenidate is joined by alcohol in the system it creates a new chemical with heightened effects. But seeing SWIY is coming down he shouldn't really worry about that. Back in the day SWIM would always drink quite a bit while coming down off of Methylphenidate. Of course one will never know how this could affect SWIY so just make sure SWIY looks for bad side effects when using.
