DXM effects?

took about 1/4 of a bottle of robittusin CF yesterday with grapefruit juice at around 4pm. It had guasifenin (sp?) but didn't throw up or feel like vomiting at all, had a fun time. This morning however, I woke up with a bad stomachache that wouldn't go away. It's not necessarily in my stomach but like this one spot in myorgans that hurts bad and hasn't stopped yet. I am REALLY sensitive in my stomach areas, I vomit frequently, and sometimes can't handle solid foods of any type without pukingand have to go a few days without eating. Just wondering if DXM has any effects on your stomache, intestines, andall thator is it only the brain that's affected?

well I guess that explains it. thanks. checked the guide on this forum and didn't find anything. Does anyone know if it causes alot of damage to your insides though? Think it's fine if I take it with my condition or not?

Anyone know more about Nitrous effects? I tried a VERY small amount
last night and just felt light headed and kinda numb. And of course i
was laughing for no reason.

sometimes (about 15-20% of the time) when i do DXM i get an extremely sharp pain in my liver when i touch it or move in certain ways. it's bearable, but a huge nuisance. is that what your pain is like? or is it more of a constant ache?


if it is what i have it's just your liver taking a beating. take a break, let it recuperate.


of course DXM is no good for your stomach, especially not when taking it in cough syrup form. think of all the other nasty stuff they put in there besides DXM. the gaufesin can't help either. i would say switch to another method with no other active ingredients.

Lucky you. I switched to maximum strength robitussin. Only vomit on that when goin really high like 3rd or 4th plateau prolly cuz of the pseudoephedrine. If I do 800 mgs of DXM, I'm also doin 1.6 grams of tha pseudo. Not fun in high doses, makes me nervous as shit and mah heart feel like it's gonna explode. I really need to find a DXM only couch syrup. lol. x]

Robitussin MS doesn't contain any pseudoephedrine. Maximum Strength
contains only Dextromethorphan. You are probably taking Robitussin CF.
Not sure if you know if or not, but pseudoephedrine is VERY dangerous
at high doses. A heavy dose of pseudoephedrine is roughly above 50mg.
At high doses pseudoephedrine causes very fast and irregular heart
beats. This would be why your heart feels like it's going to explode,
which it most likely is if you keep doing this. I recommend you don't
ever use Robitussin CF again. CF also contains Guaifenesin, which will
cause vomiting at higher doses; i.e. third and fourth plateau that you
are doing. I don't mean to sound like a dick, but you're lucky you
aren't dead. Don't take any DXM recreationally if it contains any</span> product besides dextromethorphan. Check out this list of sources at Dextroverse.

Tha one around here does. I KNOW I've been doin Robitussin Maximum strength in a bluish box with a little yellow thing that says Lasts up to 8 hours! The active ingredients say Dextromethorphan 15 mgs & Pseudoephedrine 30 mgs





A HEAVY dose is just 50 MGS?! Are you fuckin me? I do sudafed (well they changed it now) but I don't even feel a thing at 500 mgs and do around 800 mgs recreationally. I feel my heart acting up slightly during that but that's about it.


Well anyways I found Delsym (I think that's what it's called? The orange/yellow box that looks like a fuckin box of Tide) in a supermarket which is DXM only and I'm switchin to that. =]

Hehe, you'll probably be dissapointed with Delsym. It doesn't provide
the same dissociative effects that other dxm does due to the polystirex
in it. DXM is converted to DXO in the body and DXO is actually what
provides the effects that everybody seeks when doing it recreationally.
Polystirex is a little edible plastic coating around the DXM in Delsym.
As it enters the body, less of it is converted to DXO, therefor making
the effects small. From my past experience with Delsym, it seems to
provide a somewhat pleasant high, but I didn't notice any dissociative
effects at all from it.

Then fuck Delsym then. I'll stick with Robittusin since the reason I love DXM is because of the hallucinations. I'll just hafta stick to maybelow3rd plateaus or lower then.

Buy some Robitussin that only contains DXM (if it also contains
guaifenesin, that's okay) and do an acid-base extraction... part of the
reason you feel shitty is all the glucose and thickeners and crap in
the cough syrups. An extraction will separate DXM from all this
crap (plus guaifenesin), but NOT from pseudoephedrine. May also
remove acetaminophen (paracetamol), but this is not certain.
