codeine syrup extraction

Is it possible to extract codeine from cough syrup? and if so then how?
Please answer soon as swim wants to get "chill" soon.

SWIM would recommend consuming the cough syrup in larger than therapeutic doses rather than trying to extract the codeine. It will feel better doing this because the promethazine in the cough syrup will potentiate the codeine leading to heightened effects.

The danger in not extracting the codeine and just chugging the syrup is that you might get an undesirable amount of other actives that might be in cough syrup such as acetaminophen or guaifenesin. Unfortunately I don't think there's any easy way to extract the codeine; I once tried to extract some hydro from syrup by adding water and cooling to decrease the solubility of the pcm like in a CWE but it didn't work... you're best off just getting some pills

Codeine and promethazine is almost always the combination.

Swim informs me that Codeine with Promethazine is an american thing. Codeine standalone products are the standard in europe.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, didn't know that. SWIM only knows about European codeine syrup, where it's codeine only usually, or mixed with another cough supressant or other inactives, but never with anti-histamines.
