Time Travel Experiences
So a friend of mine who has taken plenty of psychedelics told me a story a while back and it got me wondering:
Have any of you heard of time travel with substances? If so I'd love to hear them. I'll try and sum up my friend's experience but he could probably tell it better...
He said that on the night in question he had gone up to the mountains to a friend's house, this friend's parents didn't mind drug use but had left for a few days and so my friend and his friend had the place to themselves. Some snow had just fallen and they had a fire in the fireplace and a pizza baking. My friend had gotten ahold of eight windowpanes of lsd and gave four to his friend. He also had about 2 grams of mushrooms leftover from some time before. The FOAF decided to take only two panes and save two, but my friend says he had just taken one two days before to test it and wanted to make sure he'd trip well so he took all four (!) Now this LSD he said had a "weird vibe" to it, each batch he takes he notices slight differences, consistent within the batch and sometimes with others' experiences. Since they had the house to themselves for over 24 hours he figured he may as well make some mushroom tea as well. He brewed up the mushrooms and planned to split it with his friend but the FOAF declined, so he prepared to drink the whole batch himself.
About halfway through the batch he found he couldn't drink any more tea. His body apparently realized what would happen if he did and outright stopped him.
He proceeded to trip like he had never tripped before. The FOAF turned on the television and they watched it while they waited to come up, within 30 minutes he could not stop giggling and marveling at the profundity of the show that they watched. He tripped for about eight to ten hours and then felt himself coming down. As he came down with his friend they sat down and turned on the TV again.
The SAME EXACT SHOW came on. Not only that but the same show afterward! He thinks that twelve hours had passed and when he looked at the clock it read as the same time! He says he "knew" that if he wanted to he could have leapt back in time to when he had began his trip. He only had to believe hard enough. He thought about the intensity of his experience and did not want to relive it and so focused on doubting his time-travel ability instead...
To this day though he wishes he had tried it, as he remains certain he says that if he had focused his belief through some Sleight of Mind techniques he knows he could have traveled twelve hours into the past. He just worried that he might get stuck in a time loop, and that he would have to go through the most intense trip of his life again.
Anyhow, I found it fascinating, and would love to hear from others about any similar or different experiences with time travel.
