storing ghb

I put some ghb in the freezer last night and this morning I checked it and it looked slushy, or icey. Anyone ever seen that? In the past, after storing in the freezer, it just got thick but never turned to ice. I'm wondering if it's any good before tasting it.

Presumably this is a solution of sodium GHB in water. Sodium GHB is the normal salt, which is a solid a room temperature, and it's normally dissolved in water with a typical concentration of 1g NaGHB per 5ml of solution.

So what's happened is that the water has frozen. The GHB will depress the freezing point, but obviously not enough to prevent partial freezing. This shouldn't affect the GHB, but be sure to wait for all the ice to melt as the GHB may have become concentrated in the unfrozen part.

If this has not happened before, then your friend may have had stronger GHB in the past (or a weaker freezer).

Sorry, I still have my floaties on. Thanks for the response. SWIM was a little skepticle of this because he was told it also didn't smell like ghb either, had more of a chemical smell than the normal salty smell.

A solution of pure GHB in water shouldn't have any significant smell. It wasn't GBL instead was it? That smells like vinyl, but won't freeze in a freezer unless it's diluted with water, which is fairly rare IMO.

swim must have gotten some gbl diluted in water. He said it did indeed have a vinyl or plastic smell. It seems from reading this board, swim thinks he will still enjoy it.
