Media starts to notice 2CB... Thanks to a man running around naked in traffic
Norwich man strips, runs in traffic, arrested for use of 'new' drug
December 26, 2007 NORWICH – Vermont State Police reported that Norwich officers responded Friday to a report of a young man tripping on acid, running into traffic and stripping naked. The officers attempted to make contact with the man, but he was incoherent, took off running and was caught a short distance away. The man lunged at one of the officers, striking the officer in the chest. The male was taken into custody after a brief struggle and identified as an 18-year-old resident of Norwich. Attempts Tuesday to obtain the identity of the man were unsuccessful. During the subsequent investigation it was learned that the man had taken a drug identified as "2C-B" (the investigation identified 2C-B is an illicit, synthetic Schedule I hallucinogen). 2C-B is also known as: Nexus, Bromo, Toonies, Performax, 2's, Spectrum, Synergy, Venus, Eve, Erox, Zenith, Cloud Nine, Utopia, Cee-Beetje and Afterburner. In 1995, the DEA placed 2C-B on Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. This synthetic drug has a high potential for abuse and has no accepted medical use in the United States, police said. Norwich police have seized marijuana, cocaine, heroin, crack cocaine, LSD as well as other synthetic drugs in the past; however, police say this is a drug that is new to Norwich and this is the first such seizure for the Norwich Police Department. The male was subsequently processed and released into the custody of his parents. He was cited to appear in Vermont District Court at a later date. The investigation is continuing. http://www.timesargus.com/apps/pbcs....21/1003/NEWS02 beginning of the end... |

I've never heard anyone getting arrested for it. However suppliers do get shut down (hence don't post them here!). But publicity like this will only lead to them cracking down on it. Please be responsible!

Re: Media starts to notice 2CB... Thanks to a man running around naked in traffic
You know... a FOAF of mine mentioned some guy sending out "free 2c-b tabs" to random folk that he found on another forum. I thought it sketchy as hell, especially after told they came as pressed pills. I cannot help but wonder if these two incidents may relate to each other....

I highly doubt, that 2-cb had no medical value and even moreso, that it were highly addictive.
A friend told me, after a dose of 2cb he thought amfetamines, sold on the street being crap, rubbish, along with alcohol etc. ... highly anxiolytic and entactogen as euphoric, too... better than MDA. |

running around naked in the winter... sounds rather cold. At least he was caught for an already scheduled chemical, although it is troubling that teenagers with poor judgement have access to RC's.
