So SWIM was at a party and his bag of molly broke open and spilled into his pocket. This pocket was full of all kinds of lint, dust, and other crap. SWIM thinks the best way to go about removing all the crap from it would be to dissolve the molly in some sort of solvent, filter, and evaporate off the solvent. SWIM is not familiar with the chemistry of MDMA and was wondering what is the best substance to use as a solvent. Hopefully something easily found, and wont leave behind a bunch of nasty residue. Any thoughts?

This happened to SWIM with DOB once and to make things worse he had to walk home in the rain so it got absorbed into the shirt he was wearing. SWIM just dried the shirt and licked the inside of the pocket and had a nice trip.

good stuff. So if SWIM was to dissolve it in bottled water and pour it through a coffe filter, then let the water evaporate, it should be good to go?

Could SWIM dissolve a dose of MDMA in a bottle of water. Keep the bottle of water for X ammount of time and then just drink the bottle and have a nice roll?

To further clarify the question (assuming it could work in any form)

- what ratio of solvent:MDMA would be workable
- is there an upper limit on the duration of "X ammount of time"
- if the idea doesn't work, could it work if I just add a simple filter and evaporation step?

SWIM apologises if this seems a silly question, but the idea is just so appealing because a bottle of solution is a lot less "dodgy" looking than a bag of white powder!

SWIM's friends used to prefer this method of ingestion. They would walk into a rave, buy a bottle of water, then drink most of it (leaving behind about 100mL). Then they would drop the pill of E in and shake until dissolved.I would assume that the MDMA wouldn't degrade any quicker in a solid pill form than it would dissolved in water, though I've never heard a first-hand account of a long duration of keeping in a bottle. The evaporating step probably wouldn't yield any results with the water based solvent since most things found in a pill are water-soluble and therefore would just disperse evenly in the water when dissolved. You'd be better off doing an acetone wash of the pills if you wanted to clean the pills of binders and other chemicals, as described in this thread.

SWIM just noticed that SWIY is referring to powdered not pilled MDMA. It would be easy for SWIY to find out if there is a limiting ratio solubility but it appears MDMA is VERY water soluble so SWIY's water bottle will be able to hold as much MDMA as will be needed by SWIY throughout your night.. Just add the amount of MDMA SWIY feels like for the night to the water bottle and consume all of the contents.
