OK, the other thread about colour inspired me. Now here are some myths undoubtedly that are just that, but have always seemed to work for SWIM and SWIM's friends.

1. The smaller the pill, the stronger it will be.
basis for evidence - less room for lots of shit and filler in there.
works all the time - SWIM's worst pills were huge, and best were small.

2. Speckly pills - are better
basis for evidence - SWIM used to believe it was todo with the traces of drugs, but apparently not. however, SWIM has never had a bad speckly pill, and rarely has good clean non speckly pills.

3. Colour - brown is better
basis for evidence - other than MDMA being brownish, there is none.
SWIM finds the murky white/brown pills to be the best pills, white second best, and any other multi coloured pills never seem as good.

4. No logo - shit pill
basis for evidence - absolutely none at all, as you could easily just not press an image.
However. SWIM has done about 4 different batches of unmarked pills - all did absoultely nothing

Add to the list... things that SWiWe all know aren't actually true, but somehow through coinicidence seem to work out just that way....

As for the logo SWIS has to agree he has never gotten a real pill that did not have a logo (But has gotten fakes with logos) the reason probably is because a lot of actual pills (eg pharmaceuticals) don't have logos but can be passed off as E.

As for the specs... Swis hasn't noticed that at all and he has never paid attention to colour.

just like swiy mentioned at the end, really none of these make a damned bit of difference. just like consistency of the pill doesnt matter. sorry, but the only way youre going to know for sure is purifying/testing it.

For SWIM some things that have held true,

the densest feeling pills (SWIM has no scale to measure mass) tend to be fake

Pills that break apart easier have been legit.

Pills that are a shape other than a cylinder with two FLAT surfaces have been junk. (referring to pills that have has rounded base surfaces as opposed to flat; they've been fake each time. Not discounting other shapes such as triangles and decepticon heads.)

Then taste has been a constant. SWIM has been able to noticeably taste what an E pill should be like and if the taste is ever different, then it's been fake.

The shape one hasn't been true for SWIM. First pills SWIM and his friends ever did were 'triangles' - triangular shaped with x's on them.

And @crackcityrocker - I know that they don't actually make a difference just in SWIM's experiences they have.

I just meant for SWIM any cylinder shapes ones were always off if they didn't have flat sides. Slightly curved ones where the base sides would normally be flat were fake pills. And in general white pills have been better than colored, but SWIM rarely come across colored ones.

and it never really hurts to actually ASK if they contain just mdma. when the guy says something like "i don't make 'em" or "i dunno but they will knock yer socks off" that often does not bode well...

MDMA is active at small doses so this may be somewhat true but there's absolutely no way of really knowing.

A lot of non-speckled pills probably don't contain MDMA. More likely these are modern pills that contain piperazines and the like and can legally be obtained in headshops. Many of them spill over into the black market because consumers aren't exactly vigilant.

MDMA is grey to white, not brown. Again, multi-coloured pills may very well not contain any MDMA at all.

If it tastes like a mint, it's a mint. MDMA has a very bitter taste, ergo a pill containing a decent amount of MDMA should taste like the proverbial ass. This taste should I am told pass relatively quickly & be easily washed away.

Actually, SWIM had some that were tiny, packed hard as hell, and weren't cylinder shaped. These completely fucked SWIM up that night.

Which is gonna be the same the world over I'm afraid - you pays yer money, you takes yer chance, is what A Certain Mouse & his nestmates have always said. So that about wraps it up for the pill myths/traditions I think.

its the old Know your source. People who time in and time out do you right will typically continue to do so. Don't obtain things like this from people you don't trust. (you wouldn't give your mother or sister something you didn't trust).

all in all SWIM has always said that the shittier the taste the more likely there legit. the other assumptions seem to be just that

Swim has been told that outpressed pills (background flat with image raised up) have a higher chance of being or containing genuine mdma. The logic, according the this person, was that out presses cost significantly more than the more common "innie" press. Swim has never seen such products for sale or compared them in this way, and she has no idea of its true, but she does think some of her best finds have tended to follow this rule.

Also, she finds that the "crisper" the press (ie. the image is clearly pressed with defined borders- no blurry or crumbly or unrecognizable) tend to be better.

In contrast to what some shared, swim has found that in her area speckled pills seem to more often be speed bombs, whereas solid colors have proven slightly more reliable on occasion.

There are exceptions to every rule, who knows whats behind it, but these have been swim's experiences.

My friend can also vouch for some of the already mentioned.

No taste, probably adulterated or bunk. No logo, could be anything. Badly pressed logo, cheaply produced and probably no ecstasy-like substances.

The best pills swim ever got where tiny, pure white and very soft and would crush easy
not sure if they really where MDMA pills tho since the roll was more trippy than when he has done pure MDMA
they also had a long grotty come down , again worse than when he hits pure MDMA
The last set he got where above average size and white with a hint of brown in them, had no jaw action and could sleep soon after (6-8 hours) taking them which makes me think the was no MDMA or speed in them (the 2 drugs swim prefers to think are in his pills) did make swim wounder what the hell was in em
The idea that you might be buying head shop pills has crossed swims mind but since they sell here for 3 or 4 times what a street pill costs the dealer would be making a loss so it’s prolly not very likely
You may trust your dealer but what about his dealer or the guy b4 him, who knows how many times the pills have changed hands since they left the lab and the one guy that really truly knows what is in them
