Modafinil + MDMA

Swim took 200mg of modafinil.. then just under 1/2 g of MDMA 2 hours later.

Swim found that the MDMA took alot longer to come on (about 1 hour to feel anything then another hour of 'tingles'), and the whole night felt like he was on the brink of coming up.. but then the modafinil would push the feeling out and swim would snap back into a sober and very alert state.

Very frustrating experience!

Has SwiY experimented with this combination before?

Ya...glad everyone is OK...

I'd be interested in hearing about others combination with those, but hopefully the dose range is more applicable to the majority.

Oops - no swim started with 250mg, then when nothing happened 2-3 hours later swim took the other 250mg.

EDIT: Swim has tested the mdma and it looks to be something other than MDMA... knowing this information swim would say that the effects were similar to those of P.E.P -X pills (legal high) which he took about 2 years ago. Not sure what the ingredients of those were.

2nd Edit: p.e.p-x contained BZP and TMFPP..

Swims supplier is usually very good and although swim is an MDMA novice, swims more experienced friends were always very impressed with the suppliers product.

Dealer said that he has had complaints from his other customers as well and will be chasing up his supplier! Should swim ask for a refund?

if it was indeed bzp+tmfpp (could also have been mcpp which has similar effects) he should DEFINITELY ask for a refund. it may not have directly been his dealer's fault, but it is better for the "industry" (can we call it an industry?) as a whole if people are held responsible for putting bunk on the market.

ps: was your friend unable to sleep for like 10 hours after taking the substance? that would probably indicate it was legal highs
maybe it was just plain old amphetamine?

A Certain Mouse is guessing yer hamster's alleged MDMA was in powder or crystal form? Which test was used & what were the results of the test? Has it been assayed without Modafinil in the mix? If it is conclusively not MDMA but some potential piperazine then that is rather worrying.

Please folks, don't turn this into a guess the compound thread.

Yes, swim says that the ''mdma'' was in a powder form.
The substance was not the same as swim usually buys. Instead of having a crystalline appearance it looked more caked up and a bit like cocaine when it has been out in the open for too long and absorbed moisture. It did taste nasty and bitter swim tells me.
It was also yellowish in appearance unlike the usual product which has always been ice white.


Unsure of what test kit was used because swim used a friends kit, which was an empty eye drop bottle that swims friend had filled with liquid from a test kit that he had paid half towards with someone else - so no instructions or anything.

Swim was told to drop some of the liquid onto some of the powder and it should turn black, however turned more of a deep orange colour (so definately not mdma).

Didnt mean to turn this into a guess the substance thread, I intended to inform other users of the effects swim experienced when combining MDMA and modafinil.. which now seem to be insignificant as it looks as though MDMA was never actually introduced into the equation.

It is highly unlikely that the other complaining customers would have been using modafinil (swims dealer did admit that other customers that same evening had phoned to complain about the product).
