Vaporizers - Vaporiser and cannabis not working

SYIM brought this vaporiser for £50 ($100) just used it for the first time on some buds, but SYIM barely felt any effects and is wondering if SYIM used it wrong, SYIM used a pinch of bud and waited untill the leaves started turning brown, then SYIM tried breathing in through the tube provided but felt and saw nothing, then some smoke began forming during breaths, but still SYIM could feel nothing but a hottish feeling in his throat from the heat of the "smoke". Then a little more smoke, but nothing thick, just slightly cloudly, and then no more smoke, that was it. SYIM is dissapointed, what happened?
