1 prozac this morning + Dextroamphetamine?

SWIM was prescribed prozac(fluoxetine) by his MD yesterday. He took 1 capsule(10mg) this morning as directed. However, he needs to stay up to study for his last final this evening. This would require a 15mg generic adderall. SWIM has heard a combination of SSRI's and adderall can cause serotonin syndrome. Would it be dangerous to take a 15mg addy tonight to get his studying done if he took 1 prozac in the morning?

SWIM has heard that it takes 1-3 weeks for SSRI's to actually kick in. So if this is the first dose SWIM has ever taken, would it really be dangerous?

SWIM called poison control center and asked if this would lead to serotonin syndrome. The man said that it wouldn't?

there would most likely not be any problems with this. also, 15mg of adderall is a very small amount.

ok, thanks. The PCC guy seemed sure it wouldn't lead to anything harmful. SWM said he had scripted bottle of adderall he had never finished and just got prescribed prozac the previous day. The PCC man said there wouldn't be any interactions/contradictions.

at that dose swim would have no worries. if swiy were taking 10x then thats when something like this could begin to happen
