What is an average dose of NOS?

Swim wanted to purchase a large amount of NOS legally (they go by the gram instead of volume) and was wondering how much to get, but would like to know what an average dose would look like. From swims experience, it is generallly "A hit from a balloon, which carries 4-6 hits" but would like to know an exact weight dosage, if possible.

Most whippets contain 8 grams of N2O. People put N2O from 1-2 whippets into a balloon.

8g, which is the amount of NO2 in a standard charger, will fill a balloon sufficiently full that SWIM can just about inhale all of it. In other words 8g is about a lungful. Obviously this will vary according to individual lung capacity.

However only a little of the N2O is absorbed by the lungs, and it's possible to exhale back into the same balloon and fill it to more or less the same size that it was before inhaling. SWIM finds that the best way to get the full effect is to breathe in and out of the balloon.

So on the one hand, one dose is 8g because that's what's in a standard charger and equals one lungful. However only a fraction of this is absorbed, even after multiple re-breathings, so the actual dose absorbed by the body will be much lower.

The next complication is that it's common to use two or three balloons full (or so I've heard). Even though there is still plenty of N2O left in the first one after multiple re-breathings, and it's possible to keep it by breathing out into the balloon before taking a gulp of air, it gets warm and stale (probably due to CO2 buildup) and it's better to move onto a fresh one.

So, total dose in a session may be 8, 16 or 24g or gas used. But I'm not sure how much of that will actually end up in the body.

2-4 g might be one inhalation. Most need several deep inhalations to feel satisfactory effects. Looking around the N2O forum (esp. experiences thread) may help SWIY determine what amount he should consider a dose of N2O.

Swim checked the experience thread and could not find enough info on how many hits another swim would take from a baloon, or if they took a fast hit or a slow hit.

By your post, swim will determine "several deepinhalations" may mean 4 hits. A baloon has 4-6 hits (from what swims friend says). This would mean that aprox. 1 dose = 1 balloon = 4 hits = 8-16g.

On a particular internet site, 5 16g charges cost about a pack of grits in Cali (hopefully this doesn't break that one rule? Swim thinking it doesn't matter cause its legal?) That would mean 5-10 doses for that price. I know one baloon can cost as much as a pack of cali grits, so if I resold this it would mean x5 - x10 my money, minus the origonal price.

200 16g charges cost 32x that of 5 16g. That is 200-400 doses for 32x that of the 5 16g. That is bank return, when you do the math.

And if I was to buy a baloon, I would inhale the whole thing multiple times, and that would work.

SWIM doesn't want to break price rules...but in SWIMs experience balloons filled with NOS are generally VERY CHEAP.

you are not hearing it wrong. basically if you're at a rave and buy 1 balloon and inhale its contents in and out SWIY will feel nitrous effects.

if SWIY keeps the nitrous gas in contact with their lungs as long as possible (holding a breath of nitrous) it will get into their system more.

SWIM would suggest to get a good high SWIY will need the equivalent of 3 fresh lung-fulls of nitrous, if a balloon where SWIY gets it is 1 lungful SWIY will need 3 of them to get a full nitrous high.

SWIY should probably be sat down, preferably close to the floor (SWIM only mentions this as he recently forgot to mention it to someone and they hit the floor hard)

screw recommended dosage. get a whole pack of 10 whippets and just do them all into a giant balloon. then use that. alternatively you can use an exersize ball. the size of balloons vary. also the size of peoples lungs vary. i say just use a dispenser or a modded mask. its easier to measure dosage.

I wouldn't recommend using a mask with nitrous oxide. There have been a few cases of death due to asphyxia (lack of oxygen) associated with nitrous use with a mask.

A balloon is much safer, as the user will let go of it if they become unconscious (and generally before this, when they get so f**ked up that they can't keep hold of it). With a mask, it will stay on even if the user falls unconscious.

Using one big balloon although looking very exciting and giving a wow effect has the disadvantage that if it bursts all is lost, also if SWIY "NOS'es out" and lets go they will loose the lot. SWIM finds after three consecutive balloons he tends to go off into the nitrous world and wouldn't care to hang onto a monster balloon any more. SWIMs preferred method that he finds to be best for him is a triple balloon to start with and then singles or doubles.

Using a mask is asking for trouble, SWIM knows the desire for one more whippet and knows for him it would cross over to "just one more second of inhaling from the mask" If SWIM used a mask he would be dead, SWIM hopes SWIY will not use one or will be very very safe if they do.

Swim usally takes 16-24 g in one trip. 16g to fly away, and then the last bullet for a refill .
On a whole night Swim can use 80-160g. But its loosing its point after like 5 bullets since SWIM cant remember a shit.
Btw: The N2O Chargers SWIM use can hold up too 24g n2o(3 containers) what crappy SWIY buy if SWIY only can fit 1 container :S?
