Re: 2000 mcg of LSD
well its hard to tell how much is in each hit, even when a dealer says each hit is XXXmcg it dosent mean the sheet/liquid hasent degraded/weakened or that the dealer or his dealer is lying.
grandma has dosed large amounts and enjoyed/remembered it.this dosent mean that swiy will enjoy thier experience. http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/sho...ght=thumbprint |

Re: 2000 mcg of LSD
swimy dosing experience above 1200ug seems to imply a diminishing return quality. At a certain point, the next 100ug is as heavy as a breath of fresh air. Imagine a wall of thousands of tiny lights. When a few lights go out, the brightness is barely lessened. With just a few lights however, one light can make a world of difference. The point is, after a certain point, another hit might propel swiy slightly farther down the rabbit-hole, but they were already on their way. A focus on intent and exploration will produce a far more revealing and 'intense' experience than excessive dosing. Patience is a virtue.

Re: 2000 mcg of LSD
Friend of mine says he just might have accidentally taken 1500ug, or possibly 4500ug (highly unlikely.) He ate three cubes that either had 1 or 3 drops on them and each drop supposedly contained 500ug of LSD. He had thought that each drop would only contain approx 100ug and wanting a nice strong trip had taken all three cubes. He later learned that each "hit" of that vial contained 500 micrograms, which explains some of the stranger experiences he had that evening.
The differences from his other experiences went as follows: He felt a full-on trip wash over him around T + 5 mins rather than T + 1.2 hours. Intense time/space distortions. Hallways literally stretching to 20 or thirty feet then shrinking to one step long, minutes lasting forever. It felt, he said like his neurons got "too hot" and everything got very fuzzy looking and feeling near the peak. Too much light radiating in his field of vision, so much that the colors even burnt out into light... At some point he returned to reality grasping the side of his bed like a nearly drowned man would clutch the shoreline. He does not recall quite where he went for some hours before that, but he knows he felt relief to have returned. He wouldn't recommend it, although he had a useful experience and enjoyed it, he has had much more utility and fun from much lower doses. He prefers to use the substance to appreciate reality most of the time, rather than catapult out of it. |

Re: 2000 mcg of LSD
It is said that over about 800 mcg the trip doesn't get stronger, just longer. 'Heroic' doses of drugs are never recommended, although LSD one of the least toxic psychedelics.

Re: 2000 mcg of LSD
Meh, I've heard stories of one or two folks (FOAFs) accidentally ingesting massive quantities of the stuff. And, well, supposedly they were just never really the same afterwards. Mind you that, if these stories are accurate (I can't be certain), the dosages would have been well beyond 2000 mcg, so this probably isn't relevant or useful information at all now that I think about it. But I've met one of these people once, and... haha.
![]() I would be interested in seeing any relevant, credible sources out there about a true "upper limit" where further dosage increase doesn't significantly effect intensity. As I can't say I've seen anything on the matter other than anecdotal stuff. As people said, death or adverse physical effects from toxicity at that level of dosage seems unlikely with LSD. That doesn't seem like a good enough reason to do it though, and there are certainly better ways of going about finding something more intense than the typical range of LSD experience. But if you're reliably confident about the dosage (lucky you) and truly wanting to try it out, I can't much think of a reason not to do it either. |

Re: 2000 mcg of LSD
The LD50 of LSD is estimated at 12,000 mcg. There is thread about an elephant being killed with a massive dose.
In his younger days SWIM did take a huge dose of psylocybin mushrooms, many times the usual dose. It wasn't life-changing but so overwhelmingly intense that there was not much to remember except a lot of visuals. |
