snorting 5mg

SWIM was just prescribed a bottle of 5mg generic Ritalin. Is is pointless to just snort 5mg? Will SWIM feel anything or does the good effects come at higher doses? Also, SWIM has no tolerance to this med or Adderall.

It's probaply worthless to snort 5mg, one should start out at 10-15mg, or snort 20-25 for a good dose, and 35-40 for a long lasting, very euphoric and strong rush. Snorting 5mg will only keep SWIY from falling asleep for some hours...

SWIM believes 20mg is the minimum dose for snorting to get effects yet 15mg would be a good place to start.

Unless Swiy frequently consumes amphetamines which is indicated not to be the case 5mg should actually provide quite a noticeable effect. Now seeking a dose which would be accompanied with the pleasurable genital tingling would be at least 15mg depending on weight etc...

Concerta is simply time released methylphenidate the only potential difference would be that Swiy did not grind the pill mass into the fine powder needed to ensure the fastest and fullest absorption.

SWIM has found that he does not get the same rush, or feeling from generic ritalin as SWIM does from name brand ritalin. SWIM is not sure if its all in his head or if generic just isnt as good.

SWIM would recommend 20mgs as a base dose, although 5mgs should give some sort of feeling. With any kind of tolerance, the base dose goes up quickly to 30-40mgs in SWIM's experience.
