Lortab/oxycontin/etc = horrible sickness/hangover

Swim has searched the board for a topic about the hangover effects of opiates but couldn't really find the information needed. Whenever swim takes a few lortabs (around four 10 mg pills in four hours) she wakes up in the morning sick as a dog, pounding headache, sick and nauseus, can barely get out of bed or function like a normal person. She has tried drinking alot of water before bed, taking vitamins, taking stomach medicine.. gah everything. Done cwe... Feel the same sickness off of methadone, oc's, any sort of opiate. Is there any way to prevent the excruciating sickness. Or any advice on getting rid of the sickness. She normally has to take a b.c powder to kill the headache and a redbull to keep her going. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Swim suffers from these all the time. Doesn't matter if it's oc, vikes, percs, etc. Swim has noticed that some advil and a heating pad for an hour or so really does take the headache edge off. However, would be nice to know if there are pre-cautionary steps (obviously amt. taken) to prevent these headaches. Swim actually suffered from a brain hemmorhage a few years ago and opiate hangover headaches are actually comparable to the headache pain from the SAH pressure. Would imagine the reasonings are comparable since swim has heard opiates increase the subcranial pressure in the brain. If anyone knows for sure fill in please.
