Health - Medical test for hypoglycemia and marijuana use.

So, swim & g/f were planning on smoking some reefer...but have a problem.

G/F has been having medical issues (mostly just tired a lot and lack of motivation) so is being tested for hypoglycemia. In about a week she has to go get blood drawn for this. Swim told her she does not to worry about getting caught for smoking weed w/ the test because of confidentiality and that isn't what they're looking for. Worried she asked a friend that was a nurse to confirm this (she did)...but also mentioned this would through off the test results for hypoglycemia.

What do people think? Is she just full of it and heard about the rumors associated w/ marijuana causing this disorder & then went w/ it or is there some truth in the statement?

I remember reading that the mechanism by which marijuana increases appetite is by lowering blood sugar. I'm not 100% sure on this though. But marijuana certainly alters glucose metabolism.

Considering a one time use (hasnt smoked in 2+ yrs) does one think alteration of metabolism would be altered for up to 4-5 days? I know in UA's one time use can only be detected for a few days, but not sure if this would be analogous.

Swim gets tested yearly for hypo and doesn't think that the MJ affects it. This is just an opinion though

SWIM has also been tested before and was then a very heavy, daily smoker.
SWIM was honest about consumption with medical professionals and they didnt seem too fussed....
SWIM test was negative.
