1st 2-ci trip complete - setting wrong?

Swims trip report in is in the trip reports section from a couple of weeks ago. swim has been pondering over the experience since then and thought swim would post again. swims not sure what to think of the 2-ci trip, swims trip wasn't so bad that swim wouldnt consider another one but swim thinks the setting was probably all wrong. Swim was a bit worried about taking 2-ci alone at night time as swim can often be a little bit of a wimp at night so swim took the 2-ci during the day, home alone. The most negative side of the trip was not knowing what to do with swim during the trip, it sometimes became a little overwhelming and swim had to lie down. The visuals were the first ever swim has ever encountered to this level and was quite amazing but the physical load meant swim felt restless and did not know what to do with the trip. Swim does not have friends willing to share a trip so this ends up being an entirely solo experiment.

Any advice on setting? Future trips?

Swim has taken mushrooms but with someone and in both instances were absolutely nothing like the 2-ci trip or the visuals that came with it, mushrooms are definately more 'funny' to be on and better with someone.

2c-i is known to be somewhat stimulating as are the phenethylamines in general. Many people experience an uncomfortable body load.

Some find that getting good exercise before a trip and planning some activities can help with the issues that swim had.

It is very possible that swim will discover that tryptamines will suit him better than the phenethylamines.
