Because of SWIM's last experience with mescaline (failed), SWIM decided to retry the experience this weekend with more planning and preparation. SWIM for some reason doesn't feel entirely comfortable to boiling, because he doesn't like to think their could be and error with the process that would decrease potency in SWIM's cactus. SWIM also doesn't want to end up with some kind of chunky, mucky slime tea, as that is just as hard to get down as regular cactus chips, and or plain powder. SWIM needed to think of a way to get the cactus down, without extracting anything, and without making some horrible concoction.
SWIM finally decided upon making mescaline Jello. SWIM first ground the raw cactus in a coffee grinder. SWIM then mixed it in a bowl with 2 Cups of cold, cream-top whole milk. SWIM then added Jell-o Brand "vanilla pudding mix", about half a package to thicken the mixture up and flavor it. Then SWIM added some "florescent green" food coloring, to brighten things up again. The cactus turned the dye a deep dark foresty green. SWIM then boiled to mix in a pan for ~10 minutes and then transfered to freezing container. SWIM put the mixture in the freezer for about 5 hours, until it was hard and jello-ish.
SWIM is planing to consume this weekend and will update you with a report on how it goes. If SWIM's concoction is successful, I will consider writing (for him) a fictional, pictured tutorial on the details of this process.
Let me know if you have any similar experience and/or comments etc.
Thanks,
-RGM
