Drug test and prescription dates

If urine shows a drug but SWIY has a script for that drug, the test is negative. SWIM knows this, however, SWIM would like to know if and/or when the date on a script "expires" and will no longer be accepted as valid proof by a lab. Most scripts say "discard after one year"...but SWIM is not sure if this is the same thing. Any ideas?
